Donald Trump Is Not Well – The Atlantic

We have to accept what the author of this article says. It’s evidence on a daily basis as we wake up every morning to see what else this man has done to our country. I love his analogy where he says if you’re driving a car that has smoke coming out from under the hood and oil dripping down onto the pavement you don’t have to be a mechanic to know that there is something wrong with the car. There is something wrong with Trump.

This is how the article describes Trump:

I think he is temperamentally unfit to be president. I think he’s erratic, I think he’s unprincipled, I think he’s unstable, and I think that he has a personality disorder; I think he’s obsessive. And at the end of the day, having served in the White House for seven years in three administrations and worked for three presidents, one closely, and read a lot of history, I think the main requirement for president of the United States … is temperament, and disposition … whether you have wisdom and judgment and prudence.”

He’s followed the dictator handbook very closely and has surrounded himself with sycophants who would never think of using the Escape valve called the 25th amendment. Also with Mitch McConnell in the helm of the Senate impeachment is a non-starter. I just hope and pray that if he does get elected the Democrats schedule hold of the Senate and keep him in check because, if not, I don’t know will recognize our country in 2024.

Trump says he’s canceling Afghanistan peace talks, secret meeting with Taliban leaders – NBC News

Let’s be real here. The current occupant of the White House is so jonesing for a when he would do anything right now. He promised a deal with the Taliban last week and now he cannot deliver. It’s amazing coming from a man who said that he would never tell people ahead of time what his foreign policy moves would be. That’s all he does is tell everybody his foreign policy moves. He reveals the kind of spy satellites we have willy-nilly and he is an absolute danger to our country. And here in respect for the presidency I am mincing words.

He is unfit for office and should go back to playing with his sharpies.

Pro-Trump Republican aiming to unseat Ilhan Omar charged with felony theft – The Guardian

I guess following in the footsteps of the current occupant of the White House is how the Republicans are looking to take back the house.Well they already have Duncan Hunter and a slew of others that are facing criminal charges.

They have a man in the White House who’s been credibly charged with 10 lb of obstruction of justice. Now they want to replace one of the most beloved members of Congress by a shoplyfter. I hope the rest of their House and Senate Oriole candidates follow the same pedigree. I’m not hopeful for a blue wave and I don’t even say the word because I think that plays into the Republican agenda. I just hope that the American people are informed and that we get to get our votes counted and we are not obstructed from voting. it seems that’s also part of the Republican agenda.

It’s amazing how the Republican party has become the pro-Putin party of the United States.

White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham Reportedly Involved in Scuffle With North Korean Security at DMZ – Newsweek

I am all for peace. But capitulating 2 strongman dictator that killed his own people and gets a much-needed photo op with the president of the United States that I do not condone. Illustrative of the fact that this illegitimate ruler of North Korea is not good people is the way his military true YouTube our press. There is no freedom of the press in North Korea and they wanted nothing of what America stands for within the demilitarized zone.

I wish the current occupant of the White House witch spend as much time with Iranian officials. We had a perfectly good denuclearization plan with Iran but Trump tore it up because it was something that President Obama did. It seems that anything that President Obama did Trump is jealous of whether it be a ranian denuclearization, the affordable Care act or more importantly the Paris climate Accord.

Let’s hope this new press secretary at the White House will continue in defending freedom of the press when she gets back to the White House the same way she did in North Korea.

Fake science led a mom to feed bleach to her autistic sons and police did nothing to stop her – NBC News

The word fake has certainly made quite a comeback in the era of trump. Those of us who hear the word fake news either are horrified or chuckle, I am always horrified and I’ve stopped using the word site even in my daily conversations as not to bring up the memory of fake news in someone else’s head.

We have fake videos also known as deepfake which can be used by anyone with a decent laptop to make videos of anyone saying anything. I know this is going to be prominent in the 2020 election cycle and beyond. As technology gets better it’s going to be harder and harder to see what is actually the truth. Putting words into an opponent’s mouth that he or she had never said will be commonplace. I remember when Photoshop first appeared on the scene. In the early 90s it was easy to see that something was photoshopped. It’s getting harder and harder to see that as the technology and the skills of those using it have improved.

And now we have fake science. Whether it’s these weird anti-vaccination people who’s ranks are growing day by day. I saw that Jessica Biel is not one of these anti-vaccination weirdos.I am 65 years old and in pretty good health for a man my age. I have had every vaccination that is cold for my medicine since I was born and I continued that practice today. I’ll be having my pneumonia vaccine done on the 17th of June. I schedule my flu shot vaccine in October and have my yearly physical at the same time. What’s a science is not just a sad story of people who are desperateI am 65 years old and in putting it is health for a man my age. I have had every vaccination that is cold for my medicine since I was born and I continue that practice today. Hope he having my pneumonia vaccine done on the 17th of June. I schedule my flu shot vaccine in October and have my yearly physical let the same time. But say science is not just a sad story of people who are desperate for a cure it’s also story about how Facebook in Twitter spread these ridiculous claims. Drinking bleach? Really? I know this mother was trying to make her infant better so I understand why the police did not pursue charges but even in Kansas I hope they are following up on the carrot she’s giving her kids.

I think we need to defend the first amendment a lot more than we need to defend the second one. That being said there are times when the first amendment needs to be breached. The famous case is the one where someone yells fire in a movie theater when there is no fire. Well I think that that same rationale should be used on social media for posts that claim things that are dangerous to do. Prime example giving bleach to your child to get rid of autism or telling people that vaccines are dangerous. enough is enough and it’s time for social media to take responsibility for what they are doing to our communities.

This is what state of Kansas is like for those who can’t take care of themselves:

Local police, the state’s division of adult protective services and a medical doctor treating Jeremy have all declined to intervene. A police spokesman said there wasn’t enough evidence that chlorine dioxide was dangerous; a caseworker with the Kansas Adult Protective Services told police that she didn’t see the situation as serious enough for the state to take action.

Shame on Kansas.

Yesterday I deleted my Twitter account. I was harassed for being gay by a trump supporter but Twitter said that he did not violate their guidelines because this person did not have a history of doing this. Does that mean that I can go out and shoot someone and not have any repercussions because I have never had a history of shooting someone. I won’t be unnecessarily upset because I’m on some social media platform. So unfortunately I think my blog will be coming to an end next month.yesterday I deleted my Twitter account. Then a great run but after leaving Facebook my traffic was cut by 95 percent and Twitter and LinkedIn were my only ways to reach out to potential readers. I don’t have advertising on this blog but posting so that one or two people see it is what I think is akin to mental masturbation.

GOP meddles in Democratic nomination with takedown of O’Rourke – POLITICO

Repeat after me

The GOP only win when they cheat

Can you imagine the uproar from a Liz Cheney if we try to meddle in the Republican primary process. Their heads would explode.

Basically this tells us that there are afraid of the field that the Democrats are mounting to take on Trump in 2020. I think they are feeling the fact that there’s going to be a tidal wave, a blue tsunami that will change the political landscape. That’s why you see Mitch McConnell rushing unqualified activist judges on the federal bench. he is trying to fill every vacancy that he left open during President Obama’s presidency. Shame on Mitch McConnell and the Republicans.

Better Angels, an organization I belong to, says one should listen to the other side. I’m listening and I don’t like what I’m hearing.

Inside Robin Roberts’ ‘GMA’ interview with Jussie Smollett – Page Six

I’ll be honest I did not watch the whole interview but the part that I did watch made me think that he was lying through his teeth. I know hindsight is 20/20 but it’s how I felt when I watched it. I thought the tears were phony and his whole storyline made no sense. Just as Robin Roberts said why would you not give up your phone when you are being threatened by two big guys. Your an actor on a successful television program and you can’t afford to get a new phone and it’s worth being injured for it? It didn’t make sense then and now we know it was not true.

Look as a gay man I wanted to believe him. But there were too many holes in the story. one more thing, if someone put a noose around my neck, I certainly would not walk around Chicago with it there and would have figured out a way of hiding it until I got to the hospital. But he did not he wore it all the way to the hospital.

I’ve said this before on this blog. What he did hurts every single person who has been, or will be a target of a hate crime. That’s all I can say at this point without getting angry.

Publisher embroiled in legal battle with Arkansas over law banning Israel boycotts – NBC News

Whenever I see these stories it makes my blood boil. They claim to be pro-israel but in fact they are not. They are being pro-israel in hopes that Israel is destroyed.

Belief in the Rapture, also known as millenarianism or eschatology, has multiple variations, but the core view is that there will an apocalyptic war, Jesus will return, and true Christians will be “raptured” or ascend to heaven, with the rest of the earth’s inhabitants punished. Rapture believers are split about the order of events, but they are united in the belief that only Christians will be saved.

From:

https://qz.com/1270516/jerusalem-embassy-trumps-foreign-policy-looks-like-rapture-christians-plan-to-trigger-apocalypse/

Yes, it seems that so-called Christians, have come up with this voodoo religious kind of scenario where, of course, the Jews must all die so that Christians can find The Rapture and meet up with Jesus. This is racist and anti-Semitic point of Evangelical religion.

So whenever you hear about these laws that seem to be pro-israel, remember they are hoping for the destruction of Israel instead.

Hunters say it’s not a ‘zombie disease,’ but they are worried about deer illness – NBC News

Even though I was born in the last century actually in the middle of the last century I have never had to go out and hunt for my food. Since I was a child we would go into the store and find beautifully wrapped pieces of meat in the meat section of the store. So to me this notion that you needs guns for hunting is foreign.

So now we are facing another threat to the reason for having a gun. Beers that have been infected with a wasting disease. This wasting disease has not thankfully been transmitted to humans yet. I remember when AIDS was traced to African monkeys. Jumping across a species is not unknown for a predator virus.

So now I need to be convinced that guns are so necessary in our society. Really, what good are they other than to shoot other people? It makes no sense and what’s makes even less sense is why hunters and gun owners are so reluctant to be licensed just like we are driving a car. This idea that gun ownership is some an amiable right was true when the government could not fight back with more than a musket. Now the government can fight back with helicopters and weapons of mass destruction, what good would having a gun or rifle do against an armed government? None!

Netflix’s new partnership with Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop brand is a win for pseudoscience – NBC News

I’ve never been a fan of Gwyneth Paltrow. I’ve never been a fan of celebrities cashing in on their celebrity through fake or untrustworthy claims regarding products or even more importantly your health. And so here we are at the Nexus of both with Netflix being vehicle where this fake science is promoted.

People look up to celebrities, people should not look up to celebrities. And yes they do. I don’t understand why someone who has a large media presence or an online following should be looked upon as having some special knowledge. They don’t, they are humans and they put on their pants, if they put them on themselves, one leg at a time. so I call upon Netflix to make sure that’s it just yours and especially the viewers of this Gwyneth Paltrow pseudoscience goop is made aware that this is not real science and there should be a Giant disclaimer. The way Netflix is going of late I don’t think they will.

And most of all, Gwyneth Paltrow, please get a life.
