My meanderings about politics, space exploration, cars, cats, tech things and whatever else strikes my fancy. To the current occupant of the White House, we will not be taken into war on anyone's leash.
I guess making America great again costs a lot of money, especially money that goes into the pockets of the very wealthy. The tax cuts, if you want to call them that, or aimed mainly at the rich. Once again the voodoo economics, trickle down economics, has made the Republicans drunk with spending. This is a party that when it was not in power made President Obama’s life miserable. Remember the sequester’s when half of all non entitlement spending was cut in half? Yes we have a different Republican party now. One that doesn’t care if we make deals with Russians to win an election. One who doesn’t care about its brethren in Puerto Rico. One that doesn’t care about working class Americans. One that doesn’t care in letting each individual have the right to good medical care. That’s the new Republican Party and I hope it’s not for you.
The Republican party has taken an unending March into moral depravity. When you hear evengelical leaders defend a sitting president having an affair with a pornstar by saying we don’t have a perfect president you know there’s something wrong with their values. What happened to the party of moral values? I can give you one main answer, Mitch McConnell. Mitch McConnell has been the architect of so many underhanded deals including stonewalling President Obama and his nominee to be a Supreme Court Justice. Changing the rules of the Senate at his whim. And yes, the Democratic party has not been there to defend us as well as they should. I know the Democrats love to say when they go low we go high but at this point I wonder whether or not we are being too nice.
I hope that the Republicans in the country will understand that this is a terrible path for our country. They are ignoring an attack by the Russians on our electoral system for their own political gain. This idea of fake news is disgusting to me. Attacking our judicial system and the agencies that protect us like the FBI and the justice department is intolerable. We must say enough is enough.
When you cough it may be a symptom of a deeper problem. This is a symptom of a deeper problem. I came from a very liberal family. We were Jewish and lived in Texas. I was always so uncomfortable when they made us say the Lord’s Prayer. Why should a six-year-old feel uncomfortable in school because of a religion? And now the government, theoretically the Bastion of the separation of church and state, is the siding what religion is worthy of being heard. That is complete BS. He read the article below you’ll see how the chaplain of the House of Representative used delaying tactics to keep a rifle leader of his church from being able to do the opening prayer. This is shameful. I have moved away from my religion, I still identify as Jewish to honor and respect my parents. But in reality I know that there is a higher power but I don’t believe that it is my imaginary friend in the sky. Look The Big Bang had to be set off. That higher power may be nothing more than how ants see us. But I don’t think we are granting ants wishes in our interaction with them. This is another statistic that shows that slow and steady with the economy is the best course. This is very bad news for both the GOP and Bernie Sanders. Both want to change how our economy works radically by either lowering taxes for the rich or raising taxes on everyone. Hillary Clinton is best suited to continue this stream of prosperity that the nation finds itself in after the Great Recession. Democrats are good for the economy. I’m not sure that that could be said about socialists or I am sure that is not true about what can be said about Republicans.
