My meanderings about politics, LGBTQ COMMUNITY, space exploration, cars, cats, tech things and whatever else strikes my fancy. To the current occupant of the White House, we will not be taken into war on anyone's leash.
I have blocked Trump on Twitter. I don’t need to see his unhinged rantings. we have enough stress in our lives without having to deal with this man. If I need to send a message to him I use the @POTUS address which I hope he will lose on January 21st 2021.
Block clean up on Twitter is making everyone lose followers. They weren’t really people and it seems that this egotistical Maniac in the White House believes that he is light because Russian bots are following him. Twitter is removing these bots and slowly but surely his numbers are dwindling. plus I think that this quote from the article from quarts makes the point best:
Perhaps if this man wasn’t a raving lunatic he would keep his Twitter followers. But honestly if any other president had openly talked about the fact that he’s losing Twitter followers we were all laughing at him or her. I have yet to hear a single member of the democratic party running for president talk about their Twitter followers.
Before I even use the I word, I would like to say a couple of things about his approval rating. He claims that his approval rating would be at 65% if it were not for the Russia investigations. I have to respectfully disagree. Russia has nothing to do with his approval ratings. His approval ratings are a function of the fact that about 30% of the American people are Republicans, 30% of the American people are Democrats and the rest are Independents. from the day he took office this president has never acted like the president of the United States but rather the president of those who voted for him. He is attacked Democrats as if they are not part of this country. Independentsare not affiliated to any party but they have eyes and ears and they see what’s happening with this presidency. The profanity, the vulgar ism’s, the lack of moral standards, tell lies, the poor choices for people in high places, and the lack of stability is why his approval ratings are always in the mid-30s. The Russia investigation has nothing to do with his terrible performance as a president. He continuously claims that the economy is because of his doing. He inherited President Obama’s economy which was like a giant snowball rolling down a hill with the momentum that has kept going. Don’t worry mr. Trump, your tariffs and poor judgment will wreck this economy. You’re ridiculous tax breaks for the very very wealthy are going to cause this deficit to explode.
Today, he canceled meetings with pop Congressional leaders regarding infrastructure because he says the agreement between Canada and Mexico needs to be ratified first. Disagreement should be ratified but it is a necessary step because what we had with Canada and Mexico was a great agreement I was working well for all three countries. This is a slight tweak to the agreements not an overall the way he claims.
Anybody who flies within the United States and goes to another continent sees how terrible are airports are. We are the laughing stock of the world because we are the richest economy and we are not spending the money we’re needs to go. Are roads, bridges Aaron’s power transmission infrastructure is falling apart. We could be attacked by China, Russia or ran using our antiquated electrical grid to take down this country. But this modern-day emperor Nero is fiddling while the United States of America is burning.
This is a difficult choice but I agree with speaker Pelosi and we need to do the investigations before we start the impeachment process. My main rub with how Congress is proceeding is that Congress is acting like this is a normal presidency, which it is not. We need to be much more proactive and set timelines that are shorter and with more punitive actions for those who do not answer subpoenas and aids in the investigation up his corrupt man.
I bring this up often but can you imagine call the Republican heads would explode collectively if President Obama went on a tweetstorm of any kind?
In one of the best keynote speeches ever, former Texas Governor Ann Richards said some things which war ain’t at George HW Bush but still live the test of times today. Just replace poor George with poor Donny:
This was a turning point in his re-election and other than his gaffs at the grocery store where he had seen the laser check out readers for the first time he made himself look completely out of touch.
poor Donnie, worried that his Twitter account is going down. Yes his Twitter account is going down because there is a movement to unfollow him. I have actually blocked him and when I need to reach out to him via Twitter I use the @POTUS45 account.
I wonder if they’re Twitter CEO also spoke to him about the fact that he uses targeted harassment of individuals which violates the basic tenets of the community of Twitter. sure Dempsey doesn’t want him to stop tweeting because it’s a source of revenue and that makes me sick.
I have left Facebook, Instagram and now only have a presence on Twitter and linkedin. I don’t know how much longer I’ll be on Twitter. These places are becoming cesspools of hatred.
Poor Devin Nunez the idiot. You have to feel sorry for the man. I have no idea how this imbecile has made it to Congress but then of course I look at some of those people like Gym Jordan and I guess mediocrity seems to flourish there of late.
Last week I posted about Devin Nunes and his ridiculous suits against two Twitter accounts and a member of the media. By the way he’s also currently Hawking a bill to stop frivolous lawsuits, talk about hilarious and ironic.
Did Russia they don’t believe in free speech. In the United States of America as of April 5th 2019 we still do. So Congressman Nunez put on your big boy pants and stop harassing individuals and Twitter accounts that upset you. You don’t like it please resign from Congress become a private individual and I promise you we will also gladly forget that you even exist. But the publicity whore that you are means I don’t think you will.
I love the parody accounts on Twitter including Devin Nunez his cow that he has soothed. The man is an idiot and he is a disrespect to the office he holds.
Once upon a time there was a congressman who ruled over the Central Valley of California. His immigrant parents from Portugal group a large dairy business and their son went to Congress. And that’s where the success depends. Sure he was able to climb the ranks of the Republican hierarchy in the house but his career is down the drain. now Adam Schiff is the chairman of the house intelligence committee and Adam Schiff made him look really bad today.
So Devin Nunes does what he does best and choose people. By the way this is the same guy that is sponsoring a bill to limit frivolous court cases. So is his first act he sued a fictitious account call Devin Nunes cow and also another fictitious account called Devin Nunes mom. by doing that he gave these two accounts platforms that they had never even hoped to have. Once again like Beavis and Butthead he took a pencil and stuck it right into his eye.
Poor little Devin Nunes wasn’t born of a lot of brains and is not going to have a great career. May he disappear with A whimper.
Until I blocked the current occupant of the White House I kept asking Twitter to review his tweets. I kept flagging tweets that espoused hatred for others, violence and other social unrest. Twitter ignored me.
And so here we are, Twitter actually doing something about the current occupant of the White House. Shame on them for having waited so long. I wonder whether or not they will follow through with this because if they don’t then my days on Twitter are over.
Can’t take the heat get out of the kitchen Devin Nunes. You have demonstrated a complete lack of understanding of our political system. You have embraced a President who it’s not only a racist but is dismantling our federal government piece by piece. And you sue a cow parody account? Grow up you little treasonous cowpoke.
A Twitter cow account seems to have gotten under Devin Nunes’ skin. he has sued Twitter and two accounts for 250 million dollars saying that they have disparaged him in his character, ethics, and several other attributes he does not have.
All laughing aside this is serious on two fronts. First there is an amendment that comes before the 2nd amendment that the Republicans love so much it’s the first amendment. It’s the right to speak what we want to just as long as we are not creating danger for others. Example is screaming fire in a busy mall which would cause a rampage. And secondly for Devin Nunes. Once the spot light is shined on you it’s hard to get out of its Lair. Turns out his family’s farm in the California Central Valley employs a large number of undocumented immigrants, another hip-hop receipt of the GOP era under Trump. Thank you Esquire magazine for a great article.
5 years ago a friend of mine, Iain McDonald, suggested I start a blog. He said that he had read all my stuff on Facebook and thought that’s I should have my own platform. I am very grateful for that thought from him.
Sure this is a vanity blog and I stopped allowing advertising on it a year ago. But it allows me to say how I feel about issues of the day and it does not promote what happens on Twitter and Facebook when you disagree with someone. I no longer use Facebook as I have said so many times on this platform and the block has been my outlet and for that I am very grateful.
For those of you who read this on a regular basis, I thank you.
