Rand Paul blocks Senate from approving 9/11 victim compensation fund – TheHill

I don’t wish harm on anyone. But I hope that the first responders who show up at Rand Paul’s home if it catches on fire have a long discussion as to whether or not there’s enough money in the budget to offset the cost of fighting his fire.first responders came to the World trade Center site without even a moment of hesitation about their well-being. And yet this supposed doctor doesn’t even want to give them the benefit of what they have earned in their service to our country.

Shame on Rand Paul.

Trump says he will ‘no longer deal with’ UK’s ambassador to US – TheHill

There’s a hashtag that has been trending on Twitter since the beginning of the Trump administration and it is

#TrumpTantrum

And boy today shows how he is just a little baby in a soiled diaper.

You attack our allies, you disrupt the order how far are alliances, you don’t defend NATO and you cozy up to every two-bit dictator on the planet. I guess that sums up Trump’s foreign policy. You couple that with the fact that he shows up to every World meeting unprepared and with his daughter at his side. We are the ones living through a two-bit dictatorship.

Oh, by the way did president Macron of France show up for Trump’s extravaganza? No he did not oh, that must really be annoying to the Trump.

He’s made the United States a laughing stock.

Americans’ pride in US hits low: Gallup – TheHill

This is most disturbing because Gallup is a Republicans leaning polling organization. but then of course why would Americans be proud of the United States under the current occupant of the White House?

we have a man in the oval Office who has lied over eleven thousand times since taking office. We have babies in cages we have little, children and their parents dead on the border, we snuggle up to dictators and ignore our allies, we are raping the land that feeds us, we have swamp creatures running every single one of our cabinet positions, we have a man who has obstructed Justice in the White House and yet he seems to have some weird fixation over hugging flags, only thing weirder is his fixation over his daughter Ivanka.

So no I am not proud of the United States right now. I love this country, something that my dad who was born on the 4th of July and instilled in me. I hope I’ll be able to be proud of my country again in my lifetime.

Trump: ‘I was never a fan of John McCain and I never will be’ – TheHill

John McCain was the man that the current occupant of the White House could never be. Whenever he sees John McKay and John McCain’s legacy it must infuriate him. Trump is a coward. He used his dad’s influence to get him out of the Vietnam War. I am the only child of two parents who lost a child before I was born but there was no discussion as to whether or not I would go to Vietnam. Luckily my draft number was very high and I was never called. That does not negate the fact that Trump used fake medical documents to get out of serving his country. When John McCain was captured because his father was a rear admiral the North Vietnamese offer to let him go. He said not without his men and the North Vietnamese tortured him for five years before he was eventually released. I remember the day he was released.

When a woman came up to John McCain in his run for president against President Obama and she said that President Obama was an Arab and a non-believer he rebuked her and I’m sure that it lost him votes with the trumper’s of the world.

But the thing that annoys the orange nightmare in the White House is the thumbs down that he gave when he allowed the affordable Care act to live.

In McCain Trump sees everything he never has been or will ever be. People may act like they love him but do they? how can you love someone who doesn’t love themselves?

Like all dictators or dictator wannabes Trump wears military garb even if it makes him look ridiculous. Next he’ll be wearing camo.

Sanders Institute shutting down amid criticism – TheHill

First I want to make sure that we understand here that the Clinton foundation was a philanthropic organization that did gobs of Wonder across the world. Curing malaria, looking for an end to the AIDS epidemic, Ebola, hunger and the list goes on and on. On the other hand a think tank, like the one Sanders and his family ran, is what I call a place for mental masturbation.

So please no false equivalencies between what Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump have as foundations and what the clintons created for good.

Let’s get the scorecard ready:

Releases their tax returns

Trump no

Sanders no

Don’t pay their campaign staff equally with gender bias

Trump yes

Sanders yes

Events have almost no African American or people of color In their audience

Trump yes

Sanders yes

Have a penchant and love for Russia and everything Russian

Trump yes

Sanders yes

So let me get this straight, we’ve already made the mistake once with Trump are we really willing to make the same mistake again with Sanders?

CNN focus group rejects Biden – TheHill

Joe Biden is subject to gaffs.

If elected to Joe Biden would be the oldest president ever.

Joe Biden has problems with understanding who are good people. How youbelieve that Mike Pence is a decent person. Decent people don’t hate. Decent people don’t try to eradicate those who are different from them.

Marc Short, Mike Pence’s incoming Chief of Staff, wrote an op-ed about the AIDS crisis. He trotted out several stupid ideas: that media reports around the AIDS crisis “glorify homosexuals’ repugnant practices”; that the LGBTQ community should remain in the closet and just deal with AIDS quietly on their own, etc, etc, etc.

So I agree with the CNN focus group. Joe Biden your time has come and gone. You are a great VP and that’s all I have to say about it. Let’s let’s a new generation bring their ideas to the table and enough with the old politics.

Warren takes aim at Pence: He’s not a ‘decent’ man – TheHill

I beg to differ with vice president Joe Biden and his assessment of Mike Pence being a decent guy. Decent people do not point out groups of individuals for hatred and discrimination. under his regime in Indiana the lgbtqi community suffered greatly. He and his wife believe in trying to cure homosexuals from their homosexuality. That is absurd. It’s just a political ploy to give himself more power. He’s not a decent man and anyone who thinks he is is not worthy to be the President of the United States.

And this is something that seems to be forgotten by the media. When Chris Christie was fired from the Trump transition Mike Pence took over. Mike Pence was there and he said nothing about all the Russians that were running around the transition. He said nothing about the hundred and fifty Russians at the inaugural. He said nothing because he knew what was going on and he is just as crooked as Trump.

Polls show Trump approval rating softening among GOP, independents – TheHill

I bring up Watergate on my blog a lot. It’s the only thing that I have to compare to the craziness that we’re going through right now. The one thing that I can tell you for sure is that John Dean’s testimony caused the downfall of Nixon.

At the time of his testimony in front of the Watergate committee Nixon had approval ratings in the mid-forties. Sound familiar? Within a year his approval ratings plummeted to 21%. just like a rats jumping a sinking ship the GOP followed suit. So reading that the GOP and independent voters are starting to soften on Trump is very telling.

I watched the whole testimony of Michael Cohen today in front of the House oversight committee.what was fascinating to me and two other observers of the body politic is that as much as the GOP members of the committee attacked Michael Cohen they never defended Donald Trump. You would think that allegation after allegation that were flung to the committee members from Michael Collins testimony would have been at least given some window dressing of making an attempt to defend the leader of the GOP. But nobody did.

Look, I am more than aware that politicians are politicians and you can’t ask a lepard to shed their spots. to me the reason that President Clinton was never convicted by the Senate was because his approval ratings were soaring. That’s not the case anymore for Trump. It never was the case for Trump to be honest. He has had the worst approval ratings of any president in his first year in office. And even worse he’s had historically high disapproval ratings.

Do I think today was the wooden stake in his heart, no. But it’s the beginning and with a democratically LED house we are going to see more and more of these hearings chip away at the fake veneer of this presidency.

White House threatens to veto background check bills – TheHill

Threatening to veto a bill is how this corrupt White House makes sure that the turtle, Mitch McConnell doesn’t bring a bill to the floor of the Senate. Mitch McConnell’s application of the power of congress is unprecedented. basically says he won’t bring a bill to the floor of the Senate that the president is going to veto. What the hell?

As the power of the NRA wins I don’t understand the reasoning behind not wanting something that even 72% of NRA members want. We’re not talking about banning weapons. We’re not talking about taking people’s guns away. We’re talking about making sure that people who should not have guns don’t get them. Do we let everyone wants to drive a car drive a car? No. It’s common sense.

Hence the term common Sense gun control.

The blood of the 45,000 people who die each year from gun violence in our country and especially that of the children and the unarmed women is on the hands of the man in the White House and his turtle.
