My meanderings about politics, space exploration, cars, cats, tech things and whatever else strikes my fancy. To the current occupant of the White House, we will not be taken into war on anyone's leash.
I am a blogger, and I am in no way a reporter. So what I say is purely speculation. But I can see in my head what must have happened in the minutes as the feds swarms into Michael Collins offices and homes. Shredding of documents must have been frenetic. So it’s not much of a surprise that the federal authorities are having problems putting the shredded materials back together. Unfortunately for Michael corn, who by the way is a terrible attorney, the federal government has Apple resources back together shredded documents. A good attorney would never have documents that needed to be shredded before a federal raid.
What a relief, for those of us, who believed that there was a chance that Michael Cohen and his family would be put out on the street due to the second mortgage he took out on his house or home. Well now we know the president paid him back for the hush money regarding the self-described pornstar Stormy Daniels.
Michael Avenatti, Stephanie Clifford aka Stormy Daniels attorney, must be playing four dimensional chess against Rudy Giuliani who I doubt knows how to play checkers. This cannot be a wonderful night at the White House. Not only does this implicitly say that the president paid off a pornstar but most likely means that he also slept with her. I cannot imagine how much Sadness the first lady must be feeling.
I wonder if this is another case of the White House throwing Michael Cohen under the bus? It certainly makes them seem less sympathetic now that he’s been paid back the money.
Everyone keeps saying what a great attorney or Stephanie Clifford has. And that’s true. But more importantly is the fact that she knew to pick him. There’s much more to her then the new year would want you to know. She’s astute and he’s letting her attorney talk and was very measured in her interview on 60 Minutes. The interview on 60 Minutes was very ballyhooed but in fact she said very little new.
Stephanie Clifford or Stormy Daniels is very smart and I think the media should be giving her more credit.
Even if he really did not know about $130,000 payment from Michael Cohen to Stormy Daniels he is being disloyal. He is always said he’s one of the most loyal friends you could ever have. But he just threw his good friend Michael Kahn and his longtime attorney under the bus.
Giving $130,000 to silence someone two weeks before an election for President to help a candidate is a violation of campaign Finance laws. Michael Cohen is an attorney and he cannot plead ignorance of the law. Michael Cohen is going to lose his ability to practice law and may even get some jail time out of this. Michael Cohen said he would take a bullet for Trump and I guess that’s what they’re doing to him.
The president of the United States is not supposed to be a saint he’s just to be a a human being but one that has a moral compass. Trump does not have a moral compass other than one that points squarely to his self interest. That’s not the president this country deserves and it is disgusting to me that he would do this to a friend. I feel like I need to take a shower after this.
The irony of emails being an issue for this president cannot be overstated. He literally started a cottage industry railing about Hillary Clinton and her emails. Now we see that this president has been doing things with emails through other people for years. Yes he thought he was immune from email issues as he doesn’t use email. I wonder if is it because he doesn’t know how. In any case here we are with emails being at the center of a scandal. But not just any scandal. A scandal about a man having an affair with a adult film star shortly after his wife gave birth to their first child. Beyond that this is just a single instance in a stream of what seems to be Affair after affair. The Republicans truly are the party of family values.
As the current occupant of the White House was in his motorcade going from Mara Largo to another one of his golf games, numbering over a hundred since his taking office, he saw a sign on the side of the road. The sign was in front of a gentlemen’s club and it said that there was a hurricane coming and was called Stormy.
In this Deluge of never-ending scandals even the most hardened pundit is finding it difficult to keep all of these in some sort of order. The Stormy Daniels story would have been Front Page News if this had been during the Clinton administration. A president’s lawyer paid a woman who allegedly was in a consensual relationship with the person running for the presidency. This money was paid in such a way that it triggered alarms in the banking system setup to track cartel money and money from terrorist organizations. And this is who is our president today.
Let’s forget about the politics. At the time of this relationship Donald Trump had had his first child with his current wife. The cold shoulder that his wife is now showing to the president is more than adequate to tell us how she feels about this whole sordid affair.
This is going to be much harder to sweep under the rug by an Administration that seems eager to sweep everything under the rug. Look at Gary Cohn’s departure from the White House today. It was never mentioned until it was made public by the fact that he wasn’t at the meeting in the White House he was supposed to attend.
This is a White House of intrigue and not one that is promoting the welfare of the American people. Everyone I speak to says the same thing to me I hope we can live through this and get out of this whole, I pray to the universe that we do.
