My meanderings about politics, space exploration, cars, cats, tech things and whatever else strikes my fancy. To the current occupant of the White House, we will not be taken into war on anyone's leash.
When I was a little kid I remember a movie that scared me and the rest of the country, The Manchurian Candidate. In that movie, a foreign power implants an individual in our country who rises the power as they’re pawn. Donald Trump may not be the product of any one country in its attempt to take over the United States but in fact he is a 21st century Manchurian Candidate. His rapid fire series of lies and deception has rendered the media impotent. His followers, and I say followers and not supporters, are entranced and cannot see his unsuitability to be president of the United States and commander-in-chief. It has become obvious that he does not believe in anything but Donald Trump. He will say and do anything for power. He lies continuously. His lack of knowledge is immense. He keeps saying that we pulled out of Iraq too early because of Barack Obama. The deal to pull out of Iraq was signed by George Bush and Dick Cheney before they left office. President Obama had no choice but to honor the treaty. He says we should have gone for the oil in a wreck. I recall Dick Cheney saying the same words and during the Bush Administration the price of oil skyrocketed. He says he would have killed Bin Laden faster than President Obama. He forgets that Bin Laden was not touched during the eight years of the Bush Administration. And that takes me to his Republican brethren. Paul Ryan not willing to say that the man is not suited to be our president. John McCain who he insulted still supports him. And the list goes on and on. I believe the American people are smart and we’ll make the right choice in the end. What I fear, is that this man, this plague on our country will not fade into the background the way Mitt Romney did after the election. I’m afraid that I will have to listen to that squeaky voice for the rest of my life. I’m afraid that he has tainted a generation.
The first interview I saw of her after becoming campaign chairman for Donald Trump was on Chris Matthews Hardball. The outrage from that interview has caused Chris Matthews ratings to plummet. Right out of the gate she started lying and hasn’t ever stop lying weather it’s July to make Donald Trump look good or to lie to make Hillary Clinton look bad. I know PR and PR makes people see the best of what the pr people AR promoting. It’s why the first thing someone does when he or she screws up is they hire a PR firm.
Miss Conway is not a PR person. She is a propagandist and one with an evil agenda. She knows she’s lying and she repeats it over and over again. It’s what has become the norm with politicians who are on the wrong side of an issue. I watched her say that Donald Trump does not insult people. Was she in a coma during the primaries? She says she’s not interested in talking about Hillary’s health, and yet she does so in a new window over and over. She’s a perfect match for Donald Trump and that cabal that he’s put together as a campaign. Lord, I look with Nostalgia at the days of Paul Manafort. Kellyanne Conway is a con man. She is the one who said there would be a softening of Trump’s immigration policies. In fact there has been no softening or hardening. He is just repeating the policies that President Obama has been carrying out the last 8 years. Donald Trump is a con man and he hires con people around him. Maybe after the election they can start a circus.
As much as I don’t like Mike Pence’s ideas I have to say that he has not allowed himself to be Donald Trump’s Whipping Boy. This is another example of Trump hyperbole. Just to put things into perspective, President Obama, the first African American president, got his best 93% of the African-American vote. So you’re going to tell me that this orange hair orangatang is going to do better than President Obama. Sure.
