My meanderings about politics, LGBTQI COMMUNITY, space exploration, cars, cats, tech things and whatever else strikes my fancy. To the current occupant of the White House, we will not be taken into war on anyone's leash.
In 1966 Robert F. Kennedy delivered a speech that included an instance: There is a Chinese curse which says “Mayhelive in interesting times.” Like it or not,we live in interesting times. They aretimesof danger and uncertainty; but they are also the most creative of any time in the history of mankind.
Two days ago special counsel Robert Mueller made a 9 1/2 minute report to the country. Whether you like him or you don’t like him this man is a patriot and I believe he wanted to warn us not just about the abuses in the white house but also the threat to our democracy by foreign actors, especially Russia, but with thanks to this Administration to others including China and Iran.
he urged that all Americans read the reports that he and his team put together. It’s not a dry read but it’s certainly not a John Grisham novel I’m posting this because I’m hoping that my followers on this blog will take the time to download this and read the part they are interested in if not the whole 485 pages.
Our democracy is at stake here. I think it is our civic duty to read this report that took two years in the making. Yesterday the report paid for itself. Paul manafort’s for securus of his properties including a condominium on the 43rd floor of Trump Tower are now the properties of the United States of America and its citizenry. The Marshal Service will be posting these properties for sale and they’re value is considered to be conservatively at 42 million dollars. The whole power investigation cost $22, 000,000.
Let TV commentators be TV commentators but it’s time for us to get on the saddle and read the report itself.
Republicans seem to be a lot like little children. Little children cling to Santa Claus until they figure out that it’s all a big scam. Unfortunately for the Republicans who keep clinging to the belief that the dossier that was originally paid for by Republicans who running against Trump but for some reason that story has morphed into it being a democratic dossier, in the end Christopher Steele has proved to be a very good source.
So here comes Rodger Stone saying that the Christopher Steele dossier was the basis of his being investigated. That’s such bull. He was investigated because he was communicating with Russian operatives in the United States. He was investigated because he does underhanded deals just like his mentors Roy Cohn and Richard Nixon. Unfortunately judge Birdman who is overseeing his case is the same judge that oversaw Paul manafort’s case and she doesn’t take bulshit lying down. I am so happy that he’s spending all of this GoFundMe money on attorneys who are not going to be of any help to him, his only hope is a pardon from the corrupt man in the White House.
Some advice on tattoos. Only tattoo the names of your mom and your kids on your body. I wonder what’s going to keep Roger Stone from being somebody’s bitch in jail? His face or Richard Nixon’s face on his back? Inquiring minds want to know.
Judge Berman was very clear in her admonition to Roger stone that if he spoke to the Press about anything to do with the case she would revoke his bail. What are these people thinking?what is so scary to these people that they’re willing to go to jail? And please don’t tell me it’s patriotism because these people or anything but patriots.
However you want to look at Michael Cohen, you must agreed that he has nothing to gain and everything to lose in today’s hearings. I think he is being forthright and has been very honest about his past misdeeds.
Roger Stone you said you were afraid of going to jail. then why are you opening your mouth to another news person? This makes no sense.
He cavorted with tyrants, oligarchs and dictators. That’s the kind of man Paul manafort, with a small m is. So it’s not surprising that the chairman of the Trump election Committee in 2016 would lie after he made a plea deal. Have you ever heard of a den of thieves, that’s what’s Trump, his White House staff and everyone associated with his campaign are, a den of thieves.
Liars are liars and they won’t stopeven if it means they’re going to spend the rest of their lives in jail
Watching the post-apocalyptic White House and it’s inability to handle the new shoes that came out yesterday it seems like there is no one in the White House that knows what they’re doing. Sarah Huckabee Sanders today repeated over and over and over again the same untruth, misleading information, lies. Fox News had what can be best described as a softball interview with Trump today for their Morning Show in the morning. He lied and gave misinformation over and over again.
I don’t know how he sees himself regarding President Obama. But President Obama sure has made an impression on Trump. I want to get one thing factually straight here. President Obama in 2008 had individuals who gave recurring monthly donations and some of these donations went above the$2, 700 limit. In those days in 2008 and 2009 when President Obama was given the reins early for the economy to be turned around and to save millions and millions of jobs if not to save us from a depression it took a while for his campaign to reimburse everyone for their / donations. But President Obama did not hide the fact, as if, that he had had sex with pornstars and Playboy models while his wife was pregnant. President Obama did not then pay his fixer to pay hush money to these women. President Obama didn’t none of this and he did not have 2 give a false contract to Karen McDougal. No President Obama but yet Donald Trump wants us to believe that he and President Obama are the same. As if…
Count me as one of the close to 4 million people that watched Rachel Maddow last night. As well as the record numbers of people that watched MSNBC all day. NBC used to have Thursday night as must see TV, well on Tuesday MSNBC was must-see TV. The Barrage of news coming out between the 1 and 2 p. M. Hour was overwhelming. Nicole Wallace and her deadline White House show had their usual cast of characters. The interesting part was that for the first time I was hearing cell phone notification sounds. That’s because the news was moving so fast that her panelists did not want to be left out in the cold. She did a great job and I am so happy for MSNBC. Perhaps they’ll bring back their moniker of Leaning forward.
the article from Rolling Stone stated perfectly, it shouldn’t be this difficult to defend an innocent man but then our 45th president is anything but innocent. Everyone keeps talking about how he’s listening to the manafort trial and fuming. I don’t think it’s because he sees his son in manafort position, although they may well be. I believe that he sees himself in Paul Manafort the micro manager who does not let anything go by. He has online videos showing him looking at furniture and saying that he’s a stickler for detail. I believe he was a stickler for details during the campaign and yes he is a slacker as a president but that doesn’t mean that he was not in on the meeting in Trump Tower with the Russians.
Donald J Trump is a lot of things but an innocent man he is not.
Normally you would find a link at the bottom of this taking you to the article that this is based on. I won’t give The Daily Caller that much importance.
If Roger Stone, someone that’s still very close to Donald Trump is attacking Paul manafort on his fashion sense while he’s on trial I believe that this is an implicit attack on the individual Paul manafort. Rodger stone is a very shrewd operator and he would not put an article like this in a right-wing, Breitbart like website, if it were not for the consumption of the Trump base. They are bracing for Paul manafort to flip and making him an “enemy of the people” before he does.
Just in case you were interested here is what Rodger stone, that dresses like a clown thinks about Paul manafort’s suits from The Daily Caller:
Manafort’s style choices were generally wrong for his body type. His custom-made Italian suits never fit him properly largely because their svelte design was wrong for his built. Manafort had the view that if something was expensive that meant it was good. He wore $6, 500 suits that fit him badly.
Now, if Roger Stone would only look into the mirror and take his own advice and stop dressing like a clown.
This man should have never even been a thousand miles from the White House. He is a Russian infiltrator through and through. He is backed dictators in Eastern Europe and has tried to remake their Persona into one that looks like him actually. I hope they throw not just the book but the whole encyclopedia at him. In my eyes he is a traitor and there’s no other words for this man. I’m happy that the judge is making it quite clear to him that he is never going to see the light of day once this trial is over. The judge clearly statEd that the evidence is overwhelming in this case and that manafort is a man of great wealth and could flee so two ankle bracelets it is and the only time he can leave his condo is to go to doctor’s appointments and visit his lawyers and of course Court appearances.
The indictments against Paul Manafortanafort by the special counsel are so telling. This was a man who owed money to someone that would gladly have him killed so he set up scheme after scheme to try to get the money he owed. He borrowed 16 million dollars from a bank that ostensibly only lends money to Veterans for home loans. Manafort is not a veteran. Yet he received alone which amounted to a quarter of the bank’s assets. Why would a bank do this? Well, the CEO of the bank was promised to be Secretary of the army. He was so sure that he was going to be Secretary of the army, he started calling to get briefings from the Army secretary’s office. He was not going to be Secretary of the army once again Manafort was being a grifter, just like the man he helped become president.
Attacking his Protege Rick Gates was unseemly. Rick Gates was trying to help Manafort but Hanafort like all other grifters is heartless. Manafort put out a statement saying how disappointed he was Enrique Gates. I’m sure we’re Gates has more disappointed in the person he looked up to and tried to help.
At the end of the day this 39 count indictment against this slimy man is meant to get him to flip on the present occupant of the White House. The special counsel is building a case just like one builds a house. Once you have the foundation you start putting the walls up and slowly but surely at the end of the day you will have a strong house or a strong case against the president.
