Ryan backs Gowdy on FBI’s use of informant to contact Trump associates – POLITICO

It seems that someone has grown the semblance of a spine. Paul Ryan has doggedly supported all of Trumps bad behavior. Finally he is saying things that are reasonable.

This means there is no Witch Hunt.

I believe when Trump said that he can pardon himself he crossed a line. The justice system is very clear no one can judge themselves. We are not in a monarchy we are in a constitutional government run by three branches.

Trump thinks he’s King and there’s going to be a time when there will be a metaphorical “Off with the head”, and I hope soon.

Congress sounds bipartisan alarm as Trump deals on ZTE – NBC News

I recall hearing, even recently, at Trump rallies the cry drain the swamp. I think instead of draining the swamp, he’s put radioactive material into it and now we have swamp monsters. In an era where bipartisan voices from Congress are rare it is refreshing to see this happening over the case of this pay-for-play situation with the White House. It’s very clear that Trump organization received favorable treatment by the Chinese government and now the result is letting this Trojan Horse into our country.

Quid pro quo is what puts you in jail.

Bipartisan briefing to be held on ‘Spygate’ – POLITICO

First and foremost let’s stop calling it Spygate. That’s what 45 wants us to call it and there is no spy and there is no gate. There is a Russia and there is a gate and there for Russia gate. I spy is someone who is put into somewhere as a means of getting information. An informant is someone who sees something that is suspicious and tells the authorities. Here we have an informant not a spy. And until we stop using the stupid word spy because the idiot in the White House thinks that it has good television sound let’s call it what it is Trump and his campaign colluded with the Russians. If his homeland security secretary has not read up on what the intelligence agencies have said, they have said that the Russians helped Trump win the election and did everything in their power to hurt Hillary Clinton’s campaign. And the discussion now let’s on to impeachment.

The race to replace Paul Ryan is on – POLITICO

You have to love Republicans, they are always trying to figure out how to stab another Republican in the back.

If Paul Ryan were to resign the odds are against the Republicans being able to have another Speaker of the House. Right now it certainly looks like it’s going to be a democratic house and maybe even a Democratic Senate if the trends in voting continue.

The two candidates who are considering a run for the speakership are both gun Advocates and are to the Right of where the majority of American people are.

Trump threatens new tariffs (Taxes on us) on another $100B in Chinese imports – POLITICO

Did you ever think why they call it a trade War? One side protects the other side counter-attacks and so on and so on and so on until it becomes a real war. What if China start selling off the trillions of US Treasury Bills they have? Some would say that would not be in their best interest, but in a trade War…

If he’s not directed by Putin then Trump is following along perfectly in the plan that Putin has for us. Dismantle our Partnerships, dismantle NATO, and make our allies mistrust us. So far Trump is doing exactly that.

And what happened to Republicans being all for free trade? It’s amazing how quiet GOP leadership has been, or can we still call it leadership?

Breaking silence on Stormy Daniels payment, Trump denies knowledge – NBC News

Even if he really did not know about $130,000 payment from Michael Cohen to Stormy Daniels he is being disloyal. He is always said he’s one of the most loyal friends you could ever have. But he just threw his good friend Michael Kahn and his longtime attorney under the bus.

Giving $130,000 to silence someone two weeks before an election for President to help a candidate is a violation of campaign Finance laws. Michael Cohen is an attorney and he cannot plead ignorance of the law. Michael Cohen is going to lose his ability to practice law and may even get some jail time out of this. Michael Cohen said he would take a bullet for Trump and I guess that’s what they’re doing to him.

The president of the United States is not supposed to be a saint he’s just to be a a human being but one that has a moral compass. Trump does not have a moral compass other than one that points squarely to his self interest. That’s not the president this country deserves and it is disgusting to me that he would do this to a friend. I feel like I need to take a shower after this.

US Chamber of Commerce criticizes Trump on his attack on American businesses – Reuters

Wendy us Chamber of Commerce attacks are Republican President you know things are going off the rails in the White House.

I can understand why the White House last week had a press conference but redefined press conference has all it was was a ramble from Trump and no questions from the Press. When questions from the Press are asked of this President he lies, there’s no other way to describe it. Yesterday was and barrage of Lies. I love the one where he said he was the toughest presidents on Russia and said that everyone else agreed about it and said look at them nodding yes. No one in the room was nodding yes. It is so embarrassing to watch this man deface the Office of the President United States.

The reason for the statement from the US Chamber of Commerce his of course Amazon and Jeff Bezos. Jeff Bezos owns Amazon and Jeff Bezos owns the Washington Post but they are not related. The Washington Post has said that Jeff Bezos does not have input on editorial content. Further the post office said that day find the business relationship they have with Amazon to be lucrative and not a money-losing proposition as the president miss stated in his press conference. Enough of these lies, they don’t stop. The Washington Post fact-checker said that he lies about 7 times a day. If President Obama had lied 7 times in a year the Republicans would have been calling for impeachment. This kind of behavior is not what we expect from the White House

Mark Zuckerberg on Facebook’s future, fake news, and Russian mischief – Vox

In my humble opinion, Mischief is what a five-year-old does. When Russian operatives buy political ads, against Hillary Clinton in this case, pay in Rubles, it’s not Mischief it’s downright terrorism.

Mark Zuckerberg created this monster and Mark Zuckerberg is denying its existence. Getting talking points from your PR firm and going in front of cameras is not going to fix this. Fundamental changes to the way you do security on Facebook is what’s going to change this.

Honestly nothing in this article makes me want to go back to Facebook. It’s been almost 6 months since I left the social network and honestly I don’t miss it one second. I think as people start leaving he’ll understand that it became a part of their lives but in fact it was a nuisance. Sure it’s easier to get in touch with friends but I have text messaging going to telephone so I don’t use Facebook Messenger. I never used Facebook Messenger when it became its own separate app because it drains resources and power for my phone. And now we find out that they were recording these phone calls so they were so generously Giving To Us for free.

Enough is enough Mr. Zuckerberg. You broke it now you fix it.
