No Quorum At FEC Means Election Law Enforcement Is On Hold – NPR

If 2016 has taught us anything it is that we need to reform our system of electing officials especially those on the federal level.

Unfortunately the Federal election commission is not the vehicle we need to reform our election system. It was never meant to do anything other than to whitewash problems and make them go away. It’s a toothless agency that has minimal enforcement capabilities. So the uproar this week over the fact that they no longer have a quorum to even have a meeting seems like it could be the beginning of the end but in this case it’s the beginning of the beginning. I’ve watched the chairwoman of the federal election committee go on and on on all the text shows saying that they still have staff doing the behind the scenes work necessary to maintain election integrity. Unfortunately all of this means nothing.

let’s dissect how this Federal election commission works. First the President appoints the members from both parties. That should put a giant wait a minute in your head when I said that. Yes Trump would have to appoint a democratic member to the commission. But even if there is a fork or they have very few ways of impacting a candidate that does wrong other than through fines. They can’t overturn an election results because of malfeasance has we saw in the North Carolina examples. Only the state level was able to do anything in that case. Plus when members are appointed by a president and then have to be confirmed by the Senate you’ve got too many people whose Faith’s are on the line making the decisions on who is going to be on this commission. This whole system needs an overhaul.

We’ve always hoped that the courts would be protection for our election system. Unfortunately the courts are now being spent by Mitch McConnell and I don’t see how we are going to have affair jurisprudence system for a generation since the people than Mitch McConnell or putting in or middle-aged and have lifetime appointments. Removing a judge is difficult and because they are Judges they have the power to make things go away.

I don’t think that either the Democrats or the Republicans have the backbone to reform this broken system. The only way they would be reformed is if there is a worst-case scenario but unfortunately if there is a worst-case scenario I can’t trust that the power will still be in the hands of the people and then our country might be changed forever.

Ex-Trump aide: Stephen Miller said he’d be happy if no refugee ever again set foot in US – TheHill

What happened to Stephen Miller that makes him hate people so much? this is the kind of thinking that created at off Hitler. His rabbi did a sermon calling him a terrible person. does he not realize that’s somewhere down the line his family were immigrants? For some reason Miller doesn’t sound like a native American name.

I have an idea let’s deport Stephen Miller.

Poll shows Democrats have midterm intensity advantage, but no ‘knockout’ yet – NBC News

Frankly, I’m happy to do poll says that it isn’t a knockout. I hope it stays this way until the election. We don’t need complacency to take over the Democratic party. We don’t need people to think that we’re going to win and they don’t need to go out and vote. Let’s face it the Republican party has made it very difficult to go vote. Where do you only country in the world that votes on a Tuesday. And countries that vote during the week have that day off. We should be voting on Saturday and Sunday, but the Republicans would hate that because it would allow people who work to be able to go out and actually vote. Sure there’s absentee ballots but those numbers never are enough to swing an election.

We need to get this Orange Madness out of the white house before he gets us into a real war. The Republicans have shown that when they feel like they’re about to lose an election they start a war, usually an unnecessary one, remember Iraq?

No Fortune 100 CEOs Back Republican Donald Trump – Wall Street Journal

If there’s one thing that rich people have in common is how well they can sniff out a con. Donald Trump is first and foremost a con man. So it’s not very surprising to hear that rich people are giving him none of their money. Even Sheldon Adelson who gave Romney over four hundred million dollars in 2012 to defeat President Obama has only shelled out 4 million dollars for Trump. With Republicans Falling by the wayside in their support of trump I hope that the American people understand what a con man we have running for president. If this is an article in the Wall Street Journal, a Bastion of Republican ferveur,  this is not going unnoticed.

DNC headliners include Clintons, Sanders, Obamas but no Warren – NY Daily News

After being on the roster for a speech on Monday night of the Democratic National Convention comma Elizabeth Warren is no longer on the speaking list. I doubt it’s because she has lost favor with Hillary Clinton. I think it’s because Hillary is truly considering her to be named her vice presidential running mate.

I know there are pros and cons to Elizabeth Warren on the ticket. But I think the pros outweigh the cons. She will solidify the progressive side of the democratic party for Hillary. And let’s face it we need the women’s vote to come out inforce. Donald Trump picking Mike Pence as his VP makes things quite clear two women. You’re not our priority is being yelled at women from the Republican ticket, in fact we want control of your body is what they’re saying. Reading tea leaves is not my forte butt if one were to guess Elizabeth Warren is still in the running for VP.

Cory Booker no longer denying he’s being vetted as Hillary Clinton’s VP pick – CBS News

Until Hillary Clinton gets on stage and announces her vice presidential pick all of this is background static. I think that Senator Cory Booker, a true American Hero, would make a great vice presidential pick. Hillary has the luxury I love having a myriad of choices that would be perfect as her vice president. That is not what can be said at all about Donald Trump. Those who would consider becoming Trump’s vice presidential candidate are power hungry and are also ignoring the fact that they are hitting their star to a supernova that’s going to explode in their face.

Hillary will make a choice that is good for the country. Donald Trump will make a choice that is good for Donald Trump.

Benghazi panel caps 2-year probe: No bombshell, faults administration – CNN

Talk about government waste and then say the words Benghazi committee. Representative Trey Gowdy and his select Benghazi committee have wasted two years and millions of dollars to find out nothing. The worst they could find on Hillary was that there may have been some security issues that were not addressed. What the committee did find was that Ambassador Stevens and his team were anxious to open a Benghazi consulate but could not find a secure location. Nothing blaming Hillary for anything. Two years and millions of dollars wasted. This republican-led witchhunt was for nothing other than to try to damage Hillary stellar time at the Department of State.

State Dept. says it has no emails from ex-Clinton staffer – The Washington Post

This information comes from a court filing in a lawsuit that the RNC brought against the state department. It turns out that her age only sent her one email which said happy birthday Madam secretary. She did not reply directly instead asked that a staffer please respond. Of course Republican heads are blowing up everywhere about this.
Enough about the servers and the emails and let’s get on with getting her in the White House.

Samsung’s VR future includes Star Trek holodecks and no wires

Did someone say Star Trek? I have not jumped on the VR bandwagon even though Samsung has been pushing it hard as well as Google with its cardboard. But if you throw in Star Trek Holodeck into the mix I may be putting my toe in the water pretty quickly.
