My meanderings about politics, LGBTQI COMMUNITY, space exploration, cars, cats, tech things and whatever else strikes my fancy. To the current occupant of the White House, we will not be taken into war on anyone's leash.
First Donald Trump said he would not announced his vice presidential candidate until the convention now he’s going to announce it before the convention. I have one word for him:
Or in this case I think a picture is worth a thousand words. This man cannot be held down to a single position or belief. Whenever something doesn’t hit the fan right he changes his story. But he wants to be our president and Truth does matter. Please read the New York Times article below. This is truly a case of lipstick not making a pig look any better.
I don’t want a President who makes fun of me I want a President who inspires me. With those words Dante cuts to the chase of what’s wrong with Donald Trump. I’m disabled and my hand doesn’t function very well and when he made fun of the reporter if hit home to me. One of the fact checking blogs reports that every five minutes of a Donald Trump speech involves a lie. Is that the character we want in the White House? Shame on Donald Trump. In a speech full of lies, something we need to expect in the next five and a half months from Trump, he slams Hillary for her stance on gun control. He says that she is looking to overturn the Second Amendment. That is a bold face lie. But his line works for him as he got the endorsement of the NRA. But let’s be real here they endorsed McCain and Romney and their endorsements did very little AVB http://www.nytimes.com/2016/05/21/us/politics/nra-guns-donald-trump-hillary-clinton.html
Paul Krugman has a realistic view of why the Donald Trump phenomenon has happened. The constant hatred for President Obama by the Republican Party has basically put their foot in an anthill and now that the answer coming out they don’t know what to do. People say this is the end of the Republican Party , I don’t think so. I think there will be some soul-searching and eventually they will come to their senses. It will be too late to fix the harm done to our country and to the office of the presidency. The Republicans should be ashamed of themselves they are the Constitution thumping people who are doing exactly the opposite of what our constitution says. A lot of the things in the Flint area were handled badly by election officials. That may have skewed the election in Bernie Sanders’ favor butt that’s not important. It’s the delegate count that is important and the fact that super delegates are and will be more comfortable with Hillary Clinton at the top of the ticket. Because, let’s face it, Bernie Sanders wasn’t a Democrat until he decided to run for president. AVB click here for New York Times article
