The Republican party has taken an unending March into moral depravity. When you hear evengelical leaders defend a sitting president having an affair with a pornstar by saying we don’t have a perfect president you know there’s something wrong with their values. What happened to the party of moral values? I can give you one main answer, Mitch McConnell. Mitch McConnell has been the architect of so many underhanded deals including stonewalling President Obama and his nominee to be a Supreme Court Justice. Changing the rules of the Senate at his whim. And yes, the Democratic party has not been there to defend us as well as they should. I know the Democrats love to say when they go low we go high but at this point I wonder whether or not we are being too nice.
I hope that the Republicans in the country will understand that this is a terrible path for our country. They are ignoring an attack by the Russians on our electoral system for their own political gain. This idea of fake news is disgusting to me. Attacking our judicial system and the agencies that protect us like the FBI and the justice department is intolerable. We must say enough is enough.

I applaud Susan Collins for standing up to Mitch McConnell. But I am not perplexed as to why Mitch McConnell is blocking President Obama’s choice for the Supreme Court. Mitch McConnell has said from the beginning of the Obama Administration he will obstruct, obstruct, and obstruct. So this is just the latest of his crippling our nation. In fact today the Supreme Court had to rule again for the for this time I’m sure to the unhappiness of the GOP establishment as they left standing a decision favoring labor unions. President Obama could not have found a more Centrist judge has Judge Garland. To be honest I would have like to seen someone younger and more Progressive but President Obama knew the lay of the land in Congress and pick someone they could not refuse. But these are obstructionists and they refuse everything.

If there were a Thurmond Rule, and I must believe Mitch McConnell when he says that there is no such thing. If there were such a rule that says that a president in the last 6 months of his presidency should not make lifetime appointments. That would be July 21st 2016 for President Obama. But again there is no such thing as the Thurmond rule and so therefore Mitch McConnell doesn’t have a leg to stand on. Or you should watch this video of himself. I’m sure he wishes there were a time machine right now so he could go back to 2008 and fix this mess he has made.

What’s that expression on thinking about? Oh yes, what’s good for the goose is good for the gander or perhaps the turtle in this case, Mr McConnell the turtle.
With the public announcement US Supreme Court justices Anthony Tullius death only a few hours ago his fellow Republicans already jumping on his grave. The highly, & I say that with great sarcasm, religious Ted Cruz and the always so handsome Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell have already announced that they did not believe that it was correct for President Obama to make a decision on a Supreme Court justice until a new president is elected. For people that claim that the Constitution is a holy document they sure like to stay from its edicts when it suits them and their agendas. No Senators Cruz and McConnell, President Obama will get to pick the next member of the Supreme Court and you will have to live with it. Our country would be so much better served by someone who is not guided by religious and doctrinal dogma.
