My meanderings about politics, space exploration, cars, cats, tech things and whatever else strikes my fancy. To the current occupant of the White House, we will not be taken into war on anyone's leash.
Why does a respectable businessman need a fixer? Well he or she doesn’t, but Donald Trump is no respectable businessman. He is right there with the corleones and his mob like way of doing business. So having Michael Cohen as is conciliary is not so weird.
The problem is now he is the president of the United States. And he’s brought his mob like tactics to the White House. No one has ever done this not even Richard Nixon. This is Despicable and hopefully our country can survive this abomination in the White House.
I am a blogger, and I am in no way a reporter. So what I say is purely speculation. But I can see in my head what must have happened in the minutes as the feds swarms into Michael Collins offices and homes. Shredding of documents must have been frenetic. So it’s not much of a surprise that the federal authorities are having problems putting the shredded materials back together. Unfortunately for Michael corn, who by the way is a terrible attorney, the federal government has Apple resources back together shredded documents. A good attorney would never have documents that needed to be shredded before a federal raid.
CEOs of Corporations as large as AT&T rarely and so publicly admit to doing wrong. This is textbook on how not to run your lobbying of a new Administration. Hiring Donald Trump’s self-proclaimed fixer had to be one of the stupidest things a company like AT&T could do.
When the history of how the Trump Administration fell, and it will be written, this will be one of the cornerstones that was pulled out from underneath this crumbling edifice.
The Trump Administration has not drained the swamp but they have brought in the Clowns.
Michael Kahn and Rudy Giuliani what an incredible pair to have as your personal attorneys. You would think that a self-described multi-billionaire could afford the best attorneys on the planet. I wonder how long this new White House attorney for the special counsel, the same attorney that worked on the Clinton impeachment, he’s going to last? Good attorneys don’t stay with bad clients.
Which brings me to the clowns, Michael Cohen and Rudy Giuliani. The FBI and the justice department run by Republicans would not put in a tap on a phone of the personal attorney of the president of the United States if there was not a very very good reason to do so. Even Rudy Giuliani and his television Fox News appearances has said that Michael Kahn was a fixer and that Rudy Giuliani and his past dubious legal career has also done the same kind of thing. Most attorneys that I know don’t consider themselves fixers, they are professionals who abide by a code of ethics. Something that is completely foreign to this White House.
In order for Michael Cohen to dodge a bullet he may have to take the proverbial gun and aim it at Trump. He’s facing years in prison if not for the rest of his life on the multitude of charges. All the reporting in the last week since the raid on Michael Collins office makes it clear that the feds had a huge amount of information in order to mount such a spectacular raid on an attorney’s offices. Especially the private attorney to the president of the United States.
In order to garner loyalty from those around you you have to be nice to them. You have to be respectful of them. You can’t treat them like yesterday’s garbage. But Trump doesn’t understand any of this and he is mistreated and belittled Michael Cohen throughout their decade-long relationship. And I think Michael Cohen is not going to take that proverbial bullet for Trump this time.
After all of the news about what Michael Cohen has done for his other two clients I have to wonder what Sean Hannity has had to pay 4 Michael Kong to fix. Michael Cohen is a fixer and not an attorney in the way that you and I think of an attorney. It’s more like an attorney in The Godfather. He threatens people and he does underhanded deals that hide information from the public. Case in point all of the non-disclosure agreements with people who have had relationships with the current occupant of the White House. Or the RNC Finance chair who had to have an abortion with a young lady he had sexual relations with. This is the classic Family Values party that the Republicans have been counting all these years. Affairs with pornstars and Playboy bunnies and abortions left and right.
Sean Hannity is not a reporter. Sean Hannity is a pundit who’s relationship with the truth what’s only when it’s convenient for him. But Fox News sells him as a reporter and let’s be honest here he is in the back pocket of the present occupant of the White House and as such should not be making news programming.
What has Sean Hannity paid Michael corn to hide? Affairs with Playboy bunnies or Pawn Stars? Abortions? This is the family values Republican Party of 2018 and they should be ashamed of themselves.
Everyone keeps saying what a great attorney or Stephanie Clifford has. And that’s true. But more importantly is the fact that she knew to pick him. There’s much more to her then the new year would want you to know. She’s astute and he’s letting her attorney talk and was very measured in her interview on 60 Minutes. The interview on 60 Minutes was very ballyhooed but in fact she said very little new.
Stephanie Clifford or Stormy Daniels is very smart and I think the media should be giving her more credit.
After throwing Michael Cohen under the bus on Friday aboard Air Force One now Trump cries foul. Anyone who touches this man is permanently soiled. Whether it’s family, friends, coworkers or employees. The turnover in the White House is at unprecedented levels and seems nowhere near to ending. I am convinced that has the special counsel gets closer and closer to the president his staff is going to jump ship like rats.
If you’re not loyal to those who are loyal to you how can you expect loyalty?
Even if he really did not know about $130,000 payment from Michael Cohen to Stormy Daniels he is being disloyal. He is always said he’s one of the most loyal friends you could ever have. But he just threw his good friend Michael Kahn and his longtime attorney under the bus.
Giving $130,000 to silence someone two weeks before an election for President to help a candidate is a violation of campaign Finance laws. Michael Cohen is an attorney and he cannot plead ignorance of the law. Michael Cohen is going to lose his ability to practice law and may even get some jail time out of this. Michael Cohen said he would take a bullet for Trump and I guess that’s what they’re doing to him.
The president of the United States is not supposed to be a saint he’s just to be a a human being but one that has a moral compass. Trump does not have a moral compass other than one that points squarely to his self interest. That’s not the president this country deserves and it is disgusting to me that he would do this to a friend. I feel like I need to take a shower after this.
The irony of emails being an issue for this president cannot be overstated. He literally started a cottage industry railing about Hillary Clinton and her emails. Now we see that this president has been doing things with emails through other people for years. Yes he thought he was immune from email issues as he doesn’t use email. I wonder if is it because he doesn’t know how. In any case here we are with emails being at the center of a scandal. But not just any scandal. A scandal about a man having an affair with a adult film star shortly after his wife gave birth to their first child. Beyond that this is just a single instance in a stream of what seems to be Affair after affair. The Republicans truly are the party of family values.
