My meanderings about politics, LGBTQ COMMUNITY, space exploration, cars, cats, tech things and whatever else strikes my fancy. To the current occupant of the White House, we will not be taken into war on anyone's leash.
Traditionally polls after the conventions are a good indicator of who’s going to win the election in November. This year the conventions were very very early. Both parties decided to have their conventions before the Olympics. So there is a Long Trail between now and November 8. The next hundred and two days will be critical to beating Trump and making sure that Hillary is our next president.
I will say this many times before the elections. Polls this early mean nothing. But they feel good. That’s why I call them mental masturbation. I’ll say it again polls this really means nothing. I keep getting yelled at by people who don’t read my blog post and just see the headline on Facebook.
Could Democrats in the Congress finally be getting a backbone? Honestly, I have been waiting for this kind of action for way too long. This is unprecedented and quite creative on their part. Since the house is not in session there is no video or audio but house members are streaming live using their cell phones. This is it illegal but they are most likely to get away with it. They are fed up with the inaction over gun safety and our country and are mad and are not going to take it anymore. Republicans, and the words of President Obama, enough is enough. We need gun safety in this country. AVB http://www.cnn.com/2016/06/22/politics/john-lewis-sit-in-gun-violence/
Ok, I am for Hillary Clinton and therefore dropped Donald Trump from the headline in the story above. That being said these numbers are really really good for Hillary’s chances in New York and Pennsylvania. And let’s be honest if she wins those two states she will have a clear path to the nomination. At this point Bernie Sanders would need to get 68% of the total vote or delegates to become the nominee. I hope these numbers hold up. I’ve said this a million times, one week in politics is like a year in real life.
