My meanderings about politics, LGBTQ COMMUNITY, space exploration, cars, cats, tech things and whatever else strikes my fancy. To the current occupant of the White House, we will not be taken into war on anyone's leash.
I wonder how long this Trump appointee has left in his job. I wonder what sort of absolute immunity Trump is going to say this man has. He doesn’t have any, let’s cut to the chase.
The epitome of an oxymoron is Trump ethics. This is the most unethical White House we’ve ever had and I’m including Richard Nixon in this mix. sure Nixon did some terrible things and I was very happy to see him resign but compared to what this administration is doing Nixon was an angel.
We have members of the justice department testifying in front of three federal judges telling them that young children don’t need soap, toothbrushes or any kind of toiletries while they’re in the care of the US government. Nicole Wallace on her show today said that if a president of the United States we’re going to a country that did this to asylum seekers the president would cancel the visit. Trump is leaving for the G20 and I hope he is ostracized. Of course Putin is going to come and get his briefing but I hope that the leaders of the Allies at the G20 will tweet Trump to why he should be treated, like a war criminal.
As far as Kellyanne Conway is concerned you have to wonder what is in her head. Lust for power? wanted to be next to the so-called leader of the Free world? I don’t understand and this comedy routine between her and her husband his even more baffling. May she go away and never be seen again on the public arena.
Words between one showman to another. Honestly Hannity is not a reporter and Trump is not really a President. Did you see how Trump had the ABC crew we retake his answer when his chief of staff Mulvaney started coughing? I’m getting tired of saying this but can you imagine if President Obama have done that?
I feel like we’re living in The Truman Show. Each day we’re asailed by one scandal after another. Today we find out that the nominee to be the Secretary of Defense hid that his son beat his ex-wife with a bat from the FBI and the Senate. We have a potential nominee to be the UN ambassador who as ambassador to Canada was at her home in the United States more than in Canada. It just doesn’t stop and it’s getting very tiresome. I don’t know how this country is going to recover from this nightmare. Steve Bannon wanted to destroy our government, he’s planted the seeds to do that. I worry that this fake president will not leave office if he loses he said so. He also said that he would not leave if he was impeached although I don’t think he understands what a piece of it is. Honestly I don’t think he understands impeachment for the life of him. For stable genius he’s quite an idiot and a moron, not my words those words came from his former Secretary of State and his former Chief of Staff.
We are living in an acting presidency. The word acting is in front of most of the members of his cabinet. And those who don’t have acting in front of their name are under investigation for one impropriety or another.
And the Republicans do nothing.
Shame on them. Saying you are and being a patriot or so different.
Whatever you want to call it, the president’s faculties are starting to look suspicious. He calls his National Security advisor John Bolton Michael Bolton, he missed writes his own wife’s name and calls her Melanie, he couldn’t even remember his chief of staff’s name General John Kelly. So calling the CEO of Apple whose name is pretty well known by everyone in the world Tim Apple is not just insulting but disturbing.
Trump supporters were promised all the best people. I say Trump supporters because I never believed he would have all the best people. Look at his campaign and how badly it was run.
I am a man of my convictions and when CNN hired Corey Lewandowski, a known abuser of women, I pulled the plug on CNN. I have not watched CNN since he was hired. Now comes the case of Jason Miller. Another one of these people that they pull out of the dregs to be a supporter of trump. It’s amazing the people they have to find that are willing to talk about the Tangerine nightmare in a favorable light. I think CNN should look at MSNBC and how they have not tried to find people that are going to speak well of the Tangerine nightmare because anyone who does seems to lack credibility or just moral fortitude.
All the best people, another one of the lies, the 5,000 lies, that we have been told by this president in his time in office.
You’ve heard of the me-too movement now it’s the not-me movement, it’s my wife!
And they say chivalry is dead.
You have to love this guy, on his first photo op he comes off a charter boat and claims that this is a campaign event! He was fishing and not for votes. I wonder what it’s going to be like in the Hunter home this evening after his wife watches all the news reports where he says that he had nothing to do with the finances and she was the campaign chair and so please look at her and look more into her more than at me says the Sir Galahad of Congress. I would love to be a fly on the wall in that place. No, on second thought I don’t want to be anywhere near Duncan Hunter, he was the second member of Congress to endorse Trump. The first member of Congress to endorse Trump was representative Collins of New York who has “suspended his campaign” for re-election.
When I was a little kid I remember a movie that scared me and the rest of the country, The Manchurian Candidate. In that movie, a foreign power implants an individual in our country who rises the power as they’re pawn. Donald Trump may not be the product of any one country in its attempt to take over the United States but in fact he is a 21st century Manchurian Candidate. His rapid fire series of lies and deception has rendered the media impotent. His followers, and I say followers and not supporters, are entranced and cannot see his unsuitability to be president of the United States and commander-in-chief. It has become obvious that he does not believe in anything but Donald Trump. He will say and do anything for power. He lies continuously. His lack of knowledge is immense. He keeps saying that we pulled out of Iraq too early because of Barack Obama. The deal to pull out of Iraq was signed by George Bush and Dick Cheney before they left office. President Obama had no choice but to honor the treaty. He says we should have gone for the oil in a wreck. I recall Dick Cheney saying the same words and during the Bush Administration the price of oil skyrocketed. He says he would have killed Bin Laden faster than President Obama. He forgets that Bin Laden was not touched during the eight years of the Bush Administration. And that takes me to his Republican brethren. Paul Ryan not willing to say that the man is not suited to be our president. John McCain who he insulted still supports him. And the list goes on and on. I believe the American people are smart and we’ll make the right choice in the end. What I fear, is that this man, this plague on our country will not fade into the background the way Mitt Romney did after the election. I’m afraid that I will have to listen to that squeaky voice for the rest of my life. I’m afraid that he has tainted a generation.
This morning I saw Paul Manafort, Trump’s campaign chairman, say that Independents are flocking to Trump, if this Washington Post/ABC News poll is to be believed, that is not the case. The problem for Trump is that the next few weeks people are going to be watching the Olympics and much of the coverage on television is going to be about the Olympics. This period allows people’s feelings to cement.
Interviews at his rallies shows that even his ardent supporters are starting to ask that he become more stable. The temperament issues is a very big thing with the American people and their leader. 3 months is a long time in politics but Trump is starting to fall quicker than anyone I’ve seen before.
This story is a year old. It is from July of 2015. I’m posting it now because it is indicative of what’s wrong with Donald Trump and the Trump campaign. This is the road that was paid to Melania making her speech using the first African American first ladie’s words.
Donald Trump is running his campaign the way that kid that you knew in high school who finished or sometimes even started his homework on the bus to school. A presidential campaign is the only way the American people can audition or interview a potential president. How the campaign is run is a good indicator on how the administration of that candidate will look. This is a sloppy campaign doing sloppy work for a sloppy candidate. And I am so tired of hearing Republicans attacking Hillary for the fact that their nominee for president wife plagiarized large portions of Michelle Obama’s 2008 convention speech. Look in the mirror guys, it’s your candidates fault not Hillary Clinton’s. I think Hillary Clinton has been unusually kind to mrs. Trump in the last 24 hours. When Paul manafort said that this was only an attack by Hillary because she felt threatened by another strong woman was such BS that I shut off the television. Last night’s speech could have been a momentous point in the convention. An immigrant who came to our Shores and has now reached not only the Pinnacle of our society but has done it herself. Instead she will be remembered for having plagiarized a speech. The campaign should have run her speech through plagiarizing detection software which is available to any High School teacher. And that is the shame of it all.
Which brings me to this article about Donald Trump tweeting a picture of himself superimposed on top of the White House last year with photos SS Nazi troops on his shoulder. The same sloppiness that brought us the plagiarized speech brought us this tweet with Nazis which in the end as far as I’m concerned this qualifies Donald Trump from the presidency because of not what he thinks but how sloppy a worker he is.
Saying that the Republican Ballad of Donald Trump and Mike Pence is the most extreme in Generations is not saying too much. So when individuals point this out with you more and love it’s important that we share it.
The United States Senate has 6-year terms. There are a hundred members of the Senate so every six years 34 of them are up for reelection. This is one of those years. Normally this is just one vote extra for this cycle. But this time around in 2016 out of 34 Senate seats available 10 are currently held by Democrats and 24 are held by Republicans. The Democrats need to send it back plus another 10 seats to make it filibuster-proof.
The state of Colorado is already purple. So when you get a conservative Tea Party candidate up for Statewide vote the Republicans have basically forfeited that seat to the incumbent Democrat.
