My meanderings about politics, space exploration, cars, cats, tech things and whatever else strikes my fancy. To the current occupant of the White House, we will not be taken into war on anyone's leash.
I’ll preface this by saying I am not a fan of Jeff Bezos.
That being said, I’m certainly not a fan of the National enquirer or its parent corporation run by David Pecker. Yes, I used his name because it was funny in a sophomoric way.
I was just talking to a friend of mine about this. I had a caregiver about 3 years ago who was a gay man in his early 60s. He was well-educated and had a career as a character actor in Hollywood. He would take me to the grocery store and as we will check out he would short reading of theheadlines about Hillary Clinton on the cover of the National enquirer and tell mehow this was making him not want to vote for her.
How many others do you think had that same idea in the back of their heads?
78000 in three States?
Yes it’s a tabloid but for some reason people want to believe it’s headlines. Maybe because they’re salacious and people want to think that others have a worse life than they do even if they’re celebrities, especially if they’re celebrities. And to me that’s the danger of this publication. I would never advocate for it to be closed for any reason but it would be really nice if mainstream media would call it out for what it is, a bunch of lies.
I cannot imagine being Robby Mooks the day after the 2016 election. As Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager and also the youngest campaign manager ever for a national presidential campaign he must have felt incredibly bad. We all felt bad but he has a job of getting her elected.
So this opinion piece is kind of a catharsis for him. He has seen what the special counsel and other prosecutors have put on the table regarding the 2016 election. The Republicans cheated and not only did they cheat but they cheated with Russians. Look I’m used to Republicans cheating, they do so with voter suppression, libertini time for early voting, not allowing elections to be held on a day off for people who work to be able to go and vote without having stress of their jobs, and a host of other things which I’m not going to list. It’s been my experience that Republicans cheat in order to win. Sure Democrats do so as well but not in the grand scale that the Republicans the so-called grand old party uses.
What’s most upsetting to me about the current Republican stand on these election interference is by Russia is that they don’t have a stand. They don’t seem to care. When the shoe will be on the other foot and a country tries to get a democratic candidate into office watch how quickly Republicans will start wanting reforms which will stop this kind of shenanigans. But until then it suits them. They don’t care about our country they care about getting someone else into the Supreme Court so that they can mold the country into their vision of a conservative Utopia.
I am a man and I truly believe that women should be running the world.
That being said can you imagine how different our lives would be if Hillary Clinton had gotten those 65 thousand votes? Sure there would be some division but it certainly would not be coming from the White House. She was never a divider and her time in the Senate proved that over and over again. She would have never spewed out hate and racism. She would not have tried to destroy the environment. She would not have reduced our national parks and decimated some of the most of Irreplaceable areas so that oil companies can drill for more Earth destroying petroleum. She would have been fighting for equal rights for all. She would have not attacked groups because they did not conform to how she thought things should be.
What annoys me the most is when I say that it would have been better under Hillary and then people tell me:
“Oh well she was just as bad as all the others, look at what she did with the Clinton Foundation.”
Let’s look at the Clinton Foundation. It’s a foundation that does work in developing countries and yes they have to ask for money just like any other nonprofit or charity but there was never any proven allegation death money given to the foundation had any impact on anything that happened during the Obama Administration.
Yes I wish this nightmare were over and yes I wish she had been our president and I hope that her words are prophetic.
This has been a given since the election. And yet it’s taken all of this time for the leaders of our nation to accept the truth that Russia wanted Trump as the President of the United States and they did everything in their power to make that happen. To say otherwise is to be unamerican and unfortunately there are a lot of those unamericans around the Republican Party.
So when Trump in that Infamous interview with Lester Holt whereTrump says you know that thing about how firing Comey would look bad about that Russia thing, yes it looks really bad
Classy as always, Hillary Clinton does things the right way. I know how crushed we are as supporters of Hillary Clinton. But can you imagine what she feels after doing this twice and losing twice. The amount of time and effort that you put into this endeavor is beyond words. And she lost because of the unfairness of a media that hard on her emails and ignored all the issues that Trump brought to the table . She has been and always will be a Class Act something I cannot say for our president elect. Or should I say president select.
Colin Powell has been the voice of reason during the last 2 presidential elections. And once again he proves why he is such a respected Statesman. Donald Trump is without a doubt one of the worst presidential candidates for one of the two major parties ever. The media is trying to hide these scattered increases for the Affordable Care Act as some sort of October surprise. We’ve already had our October surprise and it wasn’t much of a surprise since we knew that Donald Trump was not a good man. His words just proved it Without A Reasonable Doubt.
If you are wondering whether Donald Trump’s rhetoric would have tangible results, wonder no more. Hoping that no one was injured by this act of vandalism. I have one thing to say about this, in the words of President Obama:
Let me preface by saying I am not a gambler. But if I were I would be playing poker with Donald Trump. Each time he was about to put out one of those outrageous lies he snorted. His demeanor during the town hall was that of a man who doesn’t understand personal space. He stood behind Hillary Clinton while she was answering questions. I must assume that he did this so that the dreaded split screen did not catch his weird grimaces. He did not apologize for what he did. I’m 62 years old and there for 8 years younger than Donald Trump. Yes I have done things I am ashamed of but you know what I don’t do them anymore. I haven’t done them in years but he seems to think that this is just merely locker-room banter. No talking about violating a woman’s body is not locker room banter. Violating a woman’s body is a crime. But as far as I’m concerned he lost the debate when he said that if he became president he would put Hillary Clinton in jail. In jail for what? Not noticing that there were tiny little Cee’s on three documents that would normally have a have a giant confidential across them? Nota de Donald Trump proved that he’s not presidential material and that he will never be presidential material. On the other hand Hillary tried very hard to put out policy and policy that had some sort of attachment to reality. Whenever Donald Trump about about what he called policy I believe that’s my policy From Another Dimension because it had no chance I’m working. It was difficult watching this debate and mostly because I felt sorry for Hillary Clinton having to be on stage with that man. What I worry most about is that when he loses the election he will not act like Mitt Romney and disappear and I worry that he will be a thorn and all of our sides for many years to come.
Bill Maher on real time explores the week that has been period talks about the debate and Trump lack of energy. Talks about Trump tweeting in the middle of the night about beauty queens. And most importantly talks about how Hillary would be a great president.
The problem with today’s media is that it is very superficial. So it’s easy to fall into the Trap of hearing just what the media says. Let’s face it even if you believe, and I do not, that there are Clinton scandals there are just two. The so-called email Scandal and so-called Benghazi scandal. Both of which have been completely investigated by Republicans and secretary Clinton has been found blameless. Now let’s look at the other side Trump has so many scandals that they are no longer speaking to him. We’ve become almost immune to his scandals. The Washington Post says that he lies every three and a half minutes in one of his speeches. Last night Seth Meyers says that’s how he times his popcorn in the microwave. This Irvington Post opinion piece is from someone who was a Bernie bro. He drank the Kool-Aid and believed that Hillary was evil. He looked at all of the information and looked at her record and now is apologizing.
It’s been said but not enough that Hillary Clinton is the most qualified person ever to run for president. If you took away the woman bias she would be winning by a landslide.
