My meanderings about politics, LGBTQ COMMUNITY, space exploration, cars, cats, tech things and whatever else strikes my fancy. To the current occupant of the White House, we will not be taken into war on anyone's leash.
The story of the Trump administration in regards to factory workers is simply put. Big promises made no Promises kept.
This is a sad story that’s being told across the US. Whether it’s the fox come plant in Wisconsin which is costing Wisconsin taxpayers $279,000 per job or the story about this Glass Factory taken over by China where employees have no Union, no job security, unsafe working conditions and lower pay.
I’ve been reposting something I saw on Twitter and basically it says “President Obama, please come home, the babysitter is weird.”.
Trump is going to do everything to make it seem like it’s not his fault, he is a master at blaming others for his feelings. The American people have to be educated by whomever the Democratic party nominates because this is going to be and this is not an overstatement oh, this is going to be the election that will change the course of American history. 2016 was the beginning but 2020 will either tear down what Trump has tried to do to our government or we will not recognize the country in 2025.
First I’m going to say who I thought lost. Beto O’Rourke not only look terrible but he seemed off his game. Why did he start off in Spanish? That could have been left to a later question or even his closing statement but it seemed out of place and pushy. Bill de Blasio is a great mare but as far as campaigning for president he was way too pushy and arrogant. Tulsi Gabbard is one of those one issue candidates who kept going on and on about her service which I respect wholeheartedly but it stopped what is the only thing that makes our president. I thought that her answer regarding the lgbtq community was lacking and saying that she was raised in a conservative household doesn’t cut it for me. Tim Ryan what’s also one of those one-issue candidates who kept talking about the fact that he could win in the rust belt.
I loved Jay Inslee’s answer about Trump. It didn’t feel rehearsed and it was accurate. Hunan Castro was very very good and poist and I think he made quite a good impression. Cory Booker was very good and he answered the questions directly. At the end of the day Elizabeth Warren was the one I thought that the best job. She was somewhat quieter in the second half of the debate but came in with a great opening and answer the questions.
When a moderator in a debate asks you a question it seems elusive that you don’t answer it directly. Why did Beto O’Rourke not answer the question about the income tax rate at 70% for the top 1%? Is he expecting to get money from these people? I thought he said he wasn’t going to accept money from these kind of people. As far as the rest of the field they were forgettable as right now I can’t even think about their names or remember their performances.
Chuck Todd was terrible and I’m hoping that the hierarchy NBC News sees that perhaps Rachel maddow should take over as the moderator of meet the Press.
Tomorrow night’s debate it’s going to be pivotal. This is the one that Joe Biden could fall flat on his face on and I’m looking forward to seeing what senator Kamala Harris can do on a stage the way she handles herself in front of those testifying in front of the Senate.
And as far as the present occupant of the White House, I think he’s the one who orchestrated all those glitches from his perch in Air Force One going over to do his report to his overlord Putin.
At the end of the day the American people are the winners tonight and the NRA is a big loser.
I read what the historians say in the article and I find it preposterous. Basically they claim that MD 18th and 19th century there were confirmed bachelors who had sexual relationships with men but the historians say they were not gay! I think we’re dealing with semantics here because the word gay came out after Stonewall but homosexuality, pansies and the other slurs that were used in those time periods were aimed specifically at the people we now call gay.
Mayor Pete says that the odds are we had a gay president in the past. We’ve had 45 presidents and approximately 4.5% of the population identify themselves as gay. You do the math.
Historians like history to stay etched in stone and so therefore I think that they may be close-minded to what is a pretty obvious tell in a couple of our presidents intimate lives. I’m not going to be here outing any president and nor did mayor Pete, I think it was the historians who did it in the article.
Donald Trump was rambling most of the time. He lied about half the time his mouth was moving. He interrupted her, something that Americans don’t like. And now let’s talk about this morning which seemed to be some sort of a lie detector because it seems that each time he snorted he lied. He snorted a lot tonight. He evaded the question about Russia because I believe he owes a lot of money to the Russian oligarchy. My favorite of his Whoppers was that nuclear disaster is a bigger threat than what he called the global warming which is in fact incorrect terminology the term should be climate change. He evaded questions about not paying people what they would do. I saw the story about the company that I’ve been building wooden crates for 3 generations. Donald Trump hired them to build the boxes where are the slot machines the rest of the pond. He never paid them and the company went under and it killed the patriarch of the family. Donald Trump is that kind of man.
I would like to play poker with Donald Trump. He has a tell. Each time he was about to lie he snorted.
Donald had demonstrable more makeup on then Hillary Clinton. He was also a lighter shade than his normal orange hue. Perhaps he’s adjusting has winter is coming.
I wish that the moderator had asked Donald Trump to just show us the letter from the IRS stating that he’s under audit. That would reveal nothing about his finances but it would reveal that he may be lying about the audit.
And let’s talk about stamina. He actually became incoherent towards the end. He was fidgeting and look like an 8 year old who had not done their homework. He made no sense when he was talking about nuclear weapons and then went into a completely different subject and one that’s much more trivial Rosie O’Donnell.
Henry Clinton was forceful and gave concrete plans on how to make America a better place. Building on what we have done over the last 8 years. This is not a time for us to be changing course but instead we need to move on her plans and really make America great. We don’t need to make America great again America is a great place. People all over the world wish they could be in America.
And in the end Donald Trump has sold himself as a winner and his supporters and I wonder if its supporters saw a winner tonight. I know I didn’t.
Donald Trump is not the leader this country needs Hillary Clinton is.
I will say this many times before the elections. Polls this early mean nothing. But they feel good. That’s why I call them mental masturbation. I’ll say it again polls this really means nothing. I keep getting yelled at by people who don’t read my blog post and just see the headline on Facebook.
When talks, but any kind, don’t go well the talking points are that it is going positively. And that’s all you heard today from the Republicans that met with Donald Trump. It was positive. Over and over again it was positive. You are saying positive way too much. Paul Ryan actually brought charts into the meeting to try to explain to Trump how things work. I don’t think he got through. Trump did make a point that he is won more votes than anyone before and that his poll numbers are really high. That is very hard to disagree with but I think Paul Ryan is playing the long game. Paul Ryan wants to be president. The main reason he did not want to be speaker of the house and was The Reluctant Bride for so long is that rarely do speakers of the house become president. And he really is power hungry. His misstep in 2012 being the vice presidential candidate to Mitt Romney’s failure is forgivable in terms of the electorate. But jumping on board with Donald Trump and Donald Trump bringing everything down around him is not forgivable. There’s a Chinese curse that says may you live in interesting times. I guess we are all cursed. AVB http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2016-election/donald-trump-paul-ryan-could-not-be-further-apart-n573176
In a move that could potentially revolutionize what we think about space exploration, SpaceX has done something no one else has been able to achieve. Landing a rocket after having gone into orbit on a unmanned barge. Elon Musk is truly the Visionary that this world needs right now. AVB http://graphics.latimes.com/videochat-spacex-launch-040716/
