My meanderings about politics, LGBTQI COMMUNITY, space exploration, cars, cats, tech things and whatever else strikes my fancy. To the current occupant of the White House, we will not be taken into war on anyone's leash.
Here’s what happened at Saturday’s convention in Nevada, despite her opponent’s supporters becoming violent she ended up with one extra vote in the delegate count. I realize that emotions are high at this point in the campaign. Hell, I was furious that Hillary did not get the nod in 2008. But the minute she said she was no longer running I became a Barrack Obama supporter. It’s time for Hillary’s opponent to tell his supporters that this kind of behavior cannot be apart of our political discourse. This year the Republicans are putting up for their presidential nomination a man who is so ill suited to becoming president that it is unprecedented in our history. Call yourself a liberal, Progressive, Democrat, Republican or independent it does not matter we need to defeat Donald Trump. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2016/05/15/heres-what-happened-at-saturdays-dramatic-nevada-democratic-convention/
You’ve gotta be effing me. First his tax returns now the necessary documentation to be a presidential candidate. And my favorite is the excuse he gives, his grueling campaign schedule. I guess he’s the only one campaigning of those people who are campaigning that needed to turn in their documentation. Thanks to Steve Rohosky and Marlene Becker for pointing this out on Facebook. By the way they’re asking an extension till June 14th which will conveniently make it after the California primary. Are we hiding much? I’m not one of those people that thinks people are guilty, until I think that people are guilty. And this smells of guilt big time. Release your forms and your tax returns sent it or Sanders. You’ve been in elected office for over 30 years you know how it works. The letter below has the email address to the person, Tracey ( tligon@FEC.gov ), at the Federal Election Commission that they were too. I urge you to all write to this person and ask that that he is forced to give his documents prior to the last person voting in a primary in the Democratic Party. You can cut and pasted from above into your email. We are citizens of the United States and have the right to speak out. The Democratic primary in West Virginia is meaningless. First West Virginia has not gone to a Democrat since 1992. Second of all if you look at 2008 you’ll see that Hillary Clinton who was in a much better position than Bernie Sanders won there by a landslide against then-senator Barack Obama. So please people, and especially Bernie bots, stopped cheering and acting like this is the win of the century. And news media let’s stop all of this whooping and hollering about the fact that Bernie Sanders won West Virginia. Point out the truth and so what happened in 2008 and who became the actual nominee for president of the United States. AVB
Over the past couple of weeks I have tried to stay positive about Bernie Sanders and his campaign. But tonight I cannot. How their Senator Sanders attack Hillary Clinton when we now have the potential of having Donald Trump as our president. Pick your battles Senator Sanders and you’re picking them with the wrong person. Start attacking Donald Trump. Shame on Bernie Sanders and his supporters. They will be sorry if there is a Donald Trump presidency I can assure you. In a statement to the media after his win in Indiana he was extremely critical of Hillary Clinton. By the way he must have failed math as it is now impossible for him to get the nomination but he wants to remain a spoiler. Ted Cruz knew went to quit but Bernie Sanders does not. As much as Bernie Sanders supporters will say that they will never vote for Hillary Clinton in the end they will. Comparing the Democrats the Republicans is like comparing apples and bananas. There is going to be a decisive winner of the democratic nomination not so much on the Republican side. You add in the fact that the three candidates and I include John Kasich in this have draconian views of how to run our country. Lower the taxes for the rich and take away as many of the safety net programs for the poor is how they look at our country in the future. The Democrats will keep on the path that President Obama has started and continue our economies flourishing. So in the end there will be no choice but to vote for Hillary Clinton. Sitting out the election after listening to what the Republican nominee will say during debates and commercials will be impossible for Bernie Sanders supporters. I have said this repeatedly, I would vote for whomever the Democratic party nominates. AVB http://www.opposingviews.com/i/politics/it-will-be-easy-establish-unity-democratic-party
Bernie Sanders and his holier-than-thou view of the world is hypocritical. I am so fed up with listening to him say over and over again that he does not have super Pacs. First of all he does. Second of all candidates do not control their super Pacs. I could set up a Super PAC for Robert Dole who is 96 right now and raise money in the super pack but Robert Dole would have no say about it. That is what is so wrong with Citizens United and all of the black money that’s in our system right now. So Bernie Sanders stop criticizing other people because they can’t control what super Pacs do for them. It’s against the law. It was reported by MSNBC that after hearing he had lost Bernie Sanders flew to Burlington in his private jet without his press contingent. This has never happened before. He met with a very small group of Burlington reporters on the tarmac and said that he needed to think and would have something to say about the race in the future. http://www.cbsnews.com/news/live-updates-new-york-democratic-primary-results/
