Inside Robin Roberts’ ‘GMA’ interview with Jussie Smollett – Page Six

I’ll be honest I did not watch the whole interview but the part that I did watch made me think that he was lying through his teeth. I know hindsight is 20/20 but it’s how I felt when I watched it. I thought the tears were phony and his whole storyline made no sense. Just as Robin Roberts said why would you not give up your phone when you are being threatened by two big guys. Your an actor on a successful television program and you can’t afford to get a new phone and it’s worth being injured for it? It didn’t make sense then and now we know it was not true.

Look as a gay man I wanted to believe him. But there were too many holes in the story. one more thing, if someone put a noose around my neck, I certainly would not walk around Chicago with it there and would have figured out a way of hiding it until I got to the hospital. But he did not he wore it all the way to the hospital.

I’ve said this before on this blog. What he did hurts every single person who has been, or will be a target of a hate crime. That’s all I can say at this point without getting angry.

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel wins second term by an healthy margin

Mayor Rahm Emmanuel, President Obama’s former chief of staff, is a great administrator. One term in office does not give him the opportunity to take on long term projects to fix the city. I think his second term is going to be a renaissance  for Chicago.
