My meanderings about politics, LGBTQI COMMUNITY, space exploration, cars, cats, tech things and whatever else strikes my fancy. To the current occupant of the White House, we will not be taken into war on anyone's leash.
In one of the best keynote speeches ever, former Texas Governor Ann Richards said some things which war ain’t at George HW Bush but still live the test of times today. Just replace poor George with poor Donny:
This was a turning point in his re-election and other than his gaffs at the grocery store where he had seen the laser check out readers for the first time he made himself look completely out of touch.
poor Donnie, worried that his Twitter account is going down. Yes his Twitter account is going down because there is a movement to unfollow him. I have actually blocked him and when I need to reach out to him via Twitter I use the @POTUS45 account.
I wonder if they’re Twitter CEO also spoke to him about the fact that he uses targeted harassment of individuals which violates the basic tenets of the community of Twitter. sure Dempsey doesn’t want him to stop tweeting because it’s a source of revenue and that makes me sick.
I have left Facebook, Instagram and now only have a presence on Twitter and linkedin. I don’t know how much longer I’ll be on Twitter. These places are becoming cesspools of hatred.
Whatever you want to call it, the president’s faculties are starting to look suspicious. He calls his National Security advisor John Bolton Michael Bolton, he missed writes his own wife’s name and calls her Melanie, he couldn’t even remember his chief of staff’s name General John Kelly. So calling the CEO of Apple whose name is pretty well known by everyone in the world Tim Apple is not just insulting but disturbing.
Being merely a blogger I don’t have access to the news media’s journalism and reach. I do have my brain. It became evident to me last year when it was revealed that Facebook received rubles, the Russian currency, in payment for ads running on their platform against Hillary Clinton. My brain tells me that Mark Zuckerberg was trying an experiment. I truly believe that Mark Zuckerberg thinks the world is is giant petri dish. One only needs to think about the fact that they tried to manipulate the Facebook stream to your content and see whether or not they could change your mood. I refuse to be a guinea pig and left Facebook about a year ago.
Removing Mark Zuckerberg would be a first step in my feeling a little bit more confident about Facebook. It certainly will not be what makes me get back to the platform.
CEOs of Corporations as large as AT&T rarely and so publicly admit to doing wrong. This is textbook on how not to run your lobbying of a new Administration. Hiring Donald Trump’s self-proclaimed fixer had to be one of the stupidest things a company like AT&T could do.
When the history of how the Trump Administration fell, and it will be written, this will be one of the cornerstones that was pulled out from underneath this crumbling edifice.
Oh how the mighty have fallen. He was a promoter very much in the mold of 45. When the Wynn Resorts open in Las Vegas we and Los Angeles when were bombarded by had of him standing on top of his hotel. It’s a 60-story building and I’m sure they will not let him anywhere near the ledge anymore.
I am never happy when someone is in a bad place but in this case I will make an exception. This man used his position of power to hurt and harass and do all kinds of horrible things to women in the last 40 years. And to quote Ivanka Trump, there’s a special place in hell for people like him.
If there’s one thing that rich people have in common is how well they can sniff out a con. Donald Trump is first and foremost a con man. So it’s not very surprising to hear that rich people are giving him none of their money. Even Sheldon Adelson who gave Romney over four hundred million dollars in 2012 to defeat President Obama has only shelled out 4 million dollars for Trump. With Republicans Falling by the wayside in their support of trump I hope that the American people understand what a con man we have running for president. If this is an article in the Wall Street Journal, a Bastion of Republican ferveur, this is not going unnoticed.
This revelation is not overly surprising to me. I’ve learned in my 62 years that people who hate one group usually don’t manifest that against just one group. This man’s hatred is so deep that I’m not willing to say his name. That Donald Trump put him into his cabal is surprising. But maybe that’s what we need to know about Donald Trump. Yes I know the rhetoric for the last 15 months has been ugly butt everyone said that Donald Trump was a nice guy once you met him personally. I’m starting not to believe that. Breitbart.com is a stain on our nation and that Donald Trump brought this man into his fold is an even bigger stain on our nation. Let’s not just the feet Donald Trump let’s make sure that Robby Mook’s 50 state strategy comes true.
Today was one of the Rachel Maddow Show best shows.
She started with the interview which was with Robby Mook, Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager. It’s amazing how wonderful and pleasant he is despite the ugliness on the other side. Her interview with him was fair and made you see that she’s on our side. After the interview Rachel had a little spot where she explained that She interviewed Hillary Clinton 4 times in the last year and she has never been propped up by pillows. If you don’t know this new internet conspiracy theory, the Republicans are trying to say that Hillary is sick and needs to be propped up by pillows. I don’t know how being propped up by pillows makes you feel better if your sick or do your job better. But then Republicans don’t usually make a lot of sense to me.
And how long the segments of the show she explained how breitbart.com and Donald Trump have had a parallel thought line. When will you heard inexplicably Donald Trump attacking John McCain as not a war hero he was mirroring Breitbart. When Donald Trump said that President Obama was not an American he was mirroring Breitbart. So having the head of Breitbart run his campaign is the next logical step. We need to be ready for an assault of ugliness. That coupled with the fact that Roger Ailes is Donald Trump unofficial debate coach is not showing for a Rosy future. Roger Ailes in 1988 was a little-known Republican strategist. When the debate Commission in 1987 said that there would be three presidential debates and one vice presidential debate no one argued about it. But when poppy Bush did poorly against Michael Dukakis, Roger Ailes stepped in and told poppy Bush that there should be no more debates. And that year there was only one presidential debate and one vice presidential debate. So I doubt if we’re going to see all the debates that are scheduled for the presidential campaign this year because I’m sure Roger Ailes will realize that he has a dud as a debater in Donald Trump and will put a kibosh on any further debates.
Which brings us to today’s blog post about the campaign changes in the Trump camp and how they’re going to make the campaign a better reflection of Donald Trump. In fact I believe that they’re going to make the campaign a better reflection of breitbart.com, and that’s a scary thought. Breitbart is the Bastion of white supremacy and racism on the internet. God help us in the next 82 days.
Senator Sanders, Disney really, Disney is the only company you can think of to attack? Honestly Disney is the last place I would be pointing my anger at if I were Senator Sanders. It’s amazing, to me Disney has been one of the great engines of our economy. And I’m happy that the CEO of Disney went and answered his attack on the company. I think that things are getting out of control in Bernie Sanders head. AVB http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2016/may/26/disneys-iger-blasts-sanders-how-many-jobs-have-you/
