Publix suspends contributions to Adam Putnam amid David Hogg’s anti-NRA ‘die-in’ protests – The Washington Post

Growing up in Florida I saw Publix grow from the quaint Art Deco stores that dotted the landscape to a complete taking over of the grocery ecosystem. Finding other grocery stores like Winn-Dixie or Piggly Wiggly is almost impossible now because Publix has taken over.

After living 10 years in Los Angeles I moved back to Florida. I was very disappointed in how becoming a Monopoly has made Publix not a nice place anymore. Where shopping is a pleasure? The produce was bad and the prices were ridiculously high. And I came for Los Angeles.

Congratulations to David Hogg and those brave kids for mounting pressure against the NRA in every nook and cranny that organization seems to creep into. Enough is enough.

Railroad agency’s acting chief resigns amid questions about his employment – POLITICO

I remember during the summer of 2016 Trump supporters chanting lock her up and drain the swamp. I would take that swamp any day compared to the landfill that we now have as a government. The stench of political appointments is now making it impossible for this government to work correctly. Whether the individuals are wife beaters or have made stock trades to make themselves rich or in this case working two jobs at the same time it’s amazing how this Administration has been incompetent in their ability to find the proper people for positions.

I have to assume that the good candidates for positions in the government are looking the other way. Why would one want to ruin their resume with the stain of working for 45.

Scoop: FBI director threatened to resign amid Trump, Sessions pressure – Axios

I had my doubts about an FBI director picked by 45 but I have to say that so far so good. I believe that the FBI as an institution makes the director understand how important it is to our country. These inferences sent out by the White House and its minions about the corruption within the FBI is bad for our country. I believe the New FBI director understands this and is doing everything in his power to protect the FBI and its reputation.

The present occupant of the White House, I won’t say his name, acts the same way as the dictators around the world he’s so in love with. Maybe he should have been born in another country and perhaps without the power of the Constitution protecting the United States He Could Have Become a dictator. Perhaps he can pick a country somewhere in the world and he can move there and become their dictator but the US is off limits.

Amid questions of Gary Johnson’s interest in details, Libertarian VP nominee viewed as losing faith – Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

I have three points to make about the story. First this is not the only report that Governor Weld is dissatisfied with the head of ticket. He has threatened to jump ship from Gary Johnson about 10 days ago. Second he has done everything but endorse Hillary Clinton in his interviews whether they be joined with Gary Johnson or alone. This has had an effect on Gary Johnson’s ability to get people to say they’re supporting him in the polls. His numbers have been plummeting. I believe that these voters are going to Hillary Clinton. The story talks about Gary Johnson one claim to fame. He was the governor of New Mexico. If you read the story you’ll see that his stint as governor of New Mexico was filled with Aleppo moments. Gary Johnson is a nice man but he’s certainly not ready for prime time and I don’t think he will ever be. I applaud his Civic mentality but I believe he has reached way too high for his abilities. Governor Weld has said that for the rest of the campaign he will be attacking Donald Trump relentlessly and no longer looking for votes for the libertarian ticket.

The article is from a Pennsylvania newspaper and that is one of the states that Donald Trump desperately needs. This will help him not reach that goal.

Trump brags about using ‘other people’s money’ amid questions over charity use – CNN

He is going to brag himself all the way into jail,  or at least a very hefty fine. Today the Washington Post reported that he spent $250,000 of his foundation’s money, no other people’s money, to pay off settlements in court cases brought against Trump businesses. Make it simple, it’s like you are ordered to do community service and instead you have someone else do it for you. He was ordered by the court to pay settlements in the Form of a donation to charity which is a really great way paying off settlements since it makes you look good to the community. But instead of using his own money he went and fraudulently had his foundation write checks. Remember he has not given a single penny to his foundation is 2008. Each time NBC or MSNBC talks about the Trump Foundation they have to disclose that they gave the foundation a half million dollars 3 years ago.

Trump is nothing but a low-level con man.

NC Trump staffer resigns amid lawsuit –

Donald Trump has very few on-the-ground staffers. So it’s rather surprising that one pulled a gun on several of his co-workers. The suit that was filed claims that the head of the North Carolina Trump campaign pulled a gun on one of his staffers while they were driving. The suit also says that the same gentleman pull guns on other staffers. The Trump campaign is like a giant vomit on our nation. I can’t wait until I don’t hear his name every 5 Seconds.

Apple’s Tim Cook to host Paul Ryan fundraiser amid Trump woes – POLITICO

I shop at Costco and knocked Sam’s Club because I like Costco’s politics. That’s just one example of the many choices I make and how I spend my money. Luckily I’m not an iPhone addict. I have had Samsung Galaxies since their first smartphone was put out and I love them. But if I found out that Samsung was hoarding Paul Ryan I go to HTC or whomever is not. I realize that corporations play both sides of the aisle. But the fact that Apple is Apple makes no sense to me that they would be in cahoots with Paul Ryan. Paul Ryan is all that is bad about the Republican party and one glossy package.
I guess Apple is happy to have Paul Ryan help them sequester funds from the US government so they don’t have to pay taxes on them. They sell their products to American but they don’t want to pay taxes in the country that started their corporation. Shame on Apple.

Trump’s national field director quits amid major staff changes – The Washington Post

Donald J Trump is tasting what happens when you don’t do your homework. He hired a bunch of rank amateurs to run a national campaign. For somebody who claims he’s a winner he certainly has not done a good job of showing it so far. Tricky Trump is losing to lying Ted Cruz and he hates it. So events that started about three weeks ago when Corey Lewandowski assaulted a reporter has come to this. Ted Cruz has had Trump in the crosshairs at all of the state conventions and has taken away what trunk considered wins and turned them into defeats.
