Ten Arguments for Deleting Your Social Media Accounts Right Now by Jaron Lanier – The Guardian

I have been telling anyone who will listen to me how my life has become happier since I deleted my Facebook account on November 11th of 2017. It started a whole series of events including opening up my social life I am back to the weight that I should be at and wearing the same as I did when I was 32 at 64 is pretty good. But beyond that the hatred that was everywhere on Facebook is no longer in my life. When I don’t like something on television I change the channel. I don’t like Facebook anymore so I deleted my account. Sure, family and friends are annoyed at me and think that I’m being obstinate. But if I’m anything I’m a man of my principles and my principles tell me that I need to get out of Facebook and so should you.

Their new campaign telling us that they’re changing so that Facebook becomes what it was meant to be is only there to stop the Hemorrhage of users that are deleting their accounts. Their stock price has tanked and is not recovering. I’m hoping that Facebook is the next Myspace or even better Friendster, and it will disappear into the Dust heap of terrible ideas.

Trump’s Lawyers, in Confidential Memo, Argue to Head Off a Historic Subpoena – The New York Times

For a failing newspaper the New York Times sure has it’s shit together while probing deep into this dark and brooding White House. Let’s face it these are not confidential memos but rather Public Relation documents put out so that when they try to say the president is above the law they can point to these false documents and say look here it is.

Representative Adam Schiff of California said it best, this President, no president is above the law. And Donald Trump above them all it’s certainly not above the law. He and his corrupt family have infested the White House like roaches or termites. There will be a cleansing and just like Jimmy Carter came after Nixon an unlikely president will be our next leader. Who would have thought that the Great and Mighty Nixon would be replaced by a peanut farmer from Plains Georgia. Basically an unknown quantity on the political scene and yet he became president.

I watched Bernie Sanders last night on Bill Maher. I was not and have not been a Bernie Sanders supporter. I was all in for Hillary Clinton from the beginning hell I was all in for Hillary Clinton in 2008 until she withdrew her candidacy. And as much as I think that nominating someone of my own faith, a Jew, is a mistake I guess the same thing could have been said about nominating Barack Obama, an African American. Bernie makes sense for these times and if we’re going to Unite the Democrats we need to do it with someone who doesn’t seem bought in any way shape or form and Bernie Sanders is that. I never thought I would say this.

Just one more thing, just in case you think he’s got a great legal team, they cited the wrong federal statute for obstruction of justice in this so-called confidential memo.

LISTEN: How Michael Cohen Protects Trump By Making Legal Threats – NPR

Why does a respectable businessman need a fixer? Well he or she doesn’t, but Donald Trump is no respectable businessman. He is right there with the corleones and his mob like way of doing business. So having Michael Cohen as is conciliary is not so weird.

The problem is now he is the president of the United States. And he’s brought his mob like tactics to the White House. No one has ever done this not even Richard Nixon. This is Despicable and hopefully our country can survive this abomination in the White House.

Email snafu reveals White House outreach to Obama and Clinton alumni – POLITICO

First we have a President who doesn’t want to use security protocols on his phones and refuses to tweet on anything that has any kind of security on it. He says it’s too inconvenient.

And now the irony of ironies, White House emails coming out. An email scandal involving Trump? Oh you must mean Hillary Clinton? Know it is Trump, and Karma is truly something else.

Prosecutors in Michael Cohen case piecing together shredded documents from raid – NBC News

I am a blogger, and I am in no way a reporter. So what I say is purely speculation. But I can see in my head what must have happened in the minutes as the feds swarms into Michael Collins offices and homes. Shredding of documents must have been frenetic. So it’s not much of a surprise that the federal authorities are having problems putting the shredded materials back together. Unfortunately for Michael corn, who by the way is a terrible attorney, the federal government has Apple resources back together shredded documents. A good attorney would never have documents that needed to be shredded before a federal raid.

Ambien maker Sanofi: ‘Racism is not a known side effect’ – CNN

Amazing how Rosanne Barr has given a backbone to corporations across the country!

Bravo Ms. Barr, your racism is making a difference.

Now for the sad part. Roseanne Barr and her big mouth has caused people to lose their way of making a living. When you are the star of a TV show you do not have the right to go and speak your mind out on public forums and not take into consideration the fact that you are going to affect other people and their way of making a living.

Shame on Roseanne Barr.

Donald Trump Jr. posted photo with kids gets blowback – Yahoo news

Every father and mother should be proud of their children. Every father and mother should have the right to be with their children if they have caused no harm to their children. so it’s not so much that the pictures of Ivanka at Donald jr. are disrespectful but it’s the fact that there are so heartless. This is an Administration that probably says it is going to separate families purely for their own political gain within there base.

Except for Native Americans we are all, all immigrants. Even you who think you came on the Mayflower are immigrants. Donald Trump and his family are immigrants or descended from them. Enough with this immigrant bashing. America is a country of immigrants, and without them we are nothing.

Trump on Memorial Day: Those who died for US ‘would be very happy’ with how country is doing – TheHill

Let’s get some semantics out of the way first. I checked this thoroughly and saying happy Memorial Day is inappropriate. It’s a day we’re families remember those who have died and it is not meant to be a happy holiday. To me being Jewish it’s like saying happy Yom Kippur, again inappropriate. All that being said the President of the United States should know that it is inappropriate to say happy Memorial Day. But then do we really have a President?

No let’s go on with this ridiculous tweet. I live in downtown Los Angeles and there are cranes all over the city building skyscraper after skyscraper. These were not built because of the so-called Trump economy. They were plans years ago and squarely should be part of the Obama economy. That being said, that Trump thinks that’s a good economy would make people who died for our country happy is weird. It’s like he’s not really a person, I don’t know anyone else who thinks this way. And I am so tired of him taking credit for President Obama’s hard work for 8 years. This economy is going to come crashing down upon this president sometime in October and then we shall see who he blamed for that.

Do those families remembering their fallen I truly want to express how sad I am for you and for your loss. America is the greatest country on Earth thanks to those who have fought for us over the course of the last 300 years.

Rudy Giuliani Admits White House Is Trying To Discredit Russia Investigation – HuffPost

Discrediting the special counsel is all there is left for this corrupt and decrepit Administration and its supporters.

The special counsel has nothing to gain from this and must remain quiet because he’s a professional and so are all the fine men and women were working with him. Donald Trump says he Mourns the beautiful young lives that have been hurt by this probe. Donald Trump you caused this probe, you colluded with the Russians to win an election because you are a power-hungry oligarch to be.

We the people of the United States will not let you become an oligarch and the best that you can hope for is a short prison sentence for your son Don Jr and you and your vice president, who was in charge of the transition, leaving in disgrace.

Publix suspends contributions to Adam Putnam amid David Hogg’s anti-NRA ‘die-in’ protests – The Washington Post

Growing up in Florida I saw Publix grow from the quaint Art Deco stores that dotted the landscape to a complete taking over of the grocery ecosystem. Finding other grocery stores like Winn-Dixie or Piggly Wiggly is almost impossible now because Publix has taken over.

After living 10 years in Los Angeles I moved back to Florida. I was very disappointed in how becoming a Monopoly has made Publix not a nice place anymore. Where shopping is a pleasure? The produce was bad and the prices were ridiculously high. And I came for Los Angeles.

Congratulations to David Hogg and those brave kids for mounting pressure against the NRA in every nook and cranny that organization seems to creep into. Enough is enough.
