Netflix’s new partnership with Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop brand is a win for pseudoscience – NBC News

I’ve never been a fan of Gwyneth Paltrow. I’ve never been a fan of celebrities cashing in on their celebrity through fake or untrustworthy claims regarding products or even more importantly your health. And so here we are at the Nexus of both with Netflix being vehicle where this fake science is promoted.

People look up to celebrities, people should not look up to celebrities. And yes they do. I don’t understand why someone who has a large media presence or an online following should be looked upon as having some special knowledge. They don’t, they are humans and they put on their pants, if they put them on themselves, one leg at a time. so I call upon Netflix to make sure that’s it just yours and especially the viewers of this Gwyneth Paltrow pseudoscience goop is made aware that this is not real science and there should be a Giant disclaimer. The way Netflix is going of late I don’t think they will.

And most of all, Gwyneth Paltrow, please get a life.
