My meanderings about politics, LGBTQ COMMUNITY, space exploration, cars, cats, tech things and whatever else strikes my fancy. To the current occupant of the White House, we will not be taken into war on anyone's leash.
Being blinded by ambition and the need to please one’s case is not exclusively a republican problem. I have watched the Democrats fall into the same exact trap. Right now it seems that the grand old party is in quicksand. One by one their nominations turn out to be flawed in so many respects that you wonder who did the vetting. Well the vetting was done by a White House that’s incompetent and 12 years ago we had the same issues. I know everybody looks back to W with nostalgia. I wonder how much Nostalgia those who lost loved ones in unnecessary wars have for his presidency. So yes, the Republicans have had a terrible run the last 16 years and I hope that they will find their way and understand that they need to be a party that opens its doors to everyone. The Democrats in the 60s were the Republicans of today and the Democrats found a way to fix themselves. I hope the Republicans will do the same for the sake of our country.
I’m a little bit disheartened right now, the leading Twitter hashtag is #AmericaLast. I thought the Tangerine nightmare was going to make America great again, instead he’s made us the laughing stock of the world.
If President Obama had had this kind of reception at the UN Republicans would be calling for his head. But in this world wind of Scandal that is the Trump presidency this has not even made a ripple in the pond.
I’ve used this analogy before but if you watch Nickelodeon award shows when famous people get slimed at first there’s a look of shock on their face and eventually there’s resignation. The American people are in the resignation stage of this presidency. And that’s not a good place to be.
Who do you think is laughing the hardest right now? I am sure it’s Putin and his oligarchs who believe that they have one and have put us down in the view of the rest of the world. It’s time that the American people take charge and make sure that we have controls over this president and his terrible terrible positions Visa V the world.
Each time I hear the word impeachment I think about a president Mike Pence and I shudder. Think Trump with none of the baggage and all of the hatred still inside. Now I’m not saying that pent is going to come off scot-free from the special counsel investigation. He was part of the campaign since the convention, and let me think wasn’t Manafort at the convention changing the GOP plank under orders of Putin? After the convention and when 45 was elected they fired unceremonious Lee Governor Chris Christie and put in my pence in charge of the transition period in charge of the transition means in charge of Mike Flynn and we know where Mike Flynn is going to be on December 18th at his sentencing. so, I’m truly afraid of Mike Pence presidency and would rather see this presidency just wither away until 2020.
It’s so important that we not only flip the house but also the senate in November and if we do that then we can keep reins on this President until a new chief executive is voted in and may God help us that it’s not on Mike Pence. Truly a horrible man using the cover of religion to foster hatred against his fellow Americans.
Here’s a hypothetical. An acquaintance calls you and tells you that he has information on how to rob a bank. What do you say? Yeah, that’s great just as long as there’s lots of money or it’s illegal. That was the choice that the Trump campaign had but as we know from the infamous email Donald Trump jr. said “I love it, if it has dirt on Hillary Clinton”.
I have heard all the excuses made by supporters of trump. They say that the campaign was not a polished organization. It was filled with political operatives. If a Russian calls and tell someone that they want to give information red flags should start flying in front of your eyes. It seems that Donald Trump jr. Did not understand or just is a crook but in any case ignorance of the law does not excuse you.
I keep hearing that the nomination and Confirmation process for Supreme Court nominees has become very polarizing. What I don’t hear is the fact that the Republican Party put oil on that partisan Fire by not even allowing a member of the Republican Senate to visit with Merrick Garland who was rightly nominated by President Obama. So calls for a Slowdown in this process and a rush to judgment to get this unfit nominee into a lifetime appointment is a travesty. The Senate used to be a place of allegiant consideration and now it is a thunder dome.
let’s take things slowly, it is a lifetime appointment and he is only 53 I don’t think waiting a few weeks for him to get on the Supreme Court is going to matter that much. First let’s start with an FBI investigation. Lying to the FBI is a crime. Ask that was already going to jail for lying to the FBI in the special council’s investigation of Russian collusion by the Trump for president campaign. Once we have a report by the FBI which to take no longer than a week or 10 days then we should have ordered and thoughtful hearings as to whether or not these allegations hold enough Merit to keep this man out of the Supreme Court. This is not a court of law. This does not have to be by no Reasonable Doubt. Ask Senator Al Franken about Reasonable Doubt.
This is what happens when you have a white house and it’s an Administration that does not know what they’re doing. The head of the FCC who would be the point man for solving this issue is useless. He’s the same idiot that things that net neutrality is not a good thing. He’s the same idiot that is suing the state of California for their new net neutrality law.
The screenshot that I have attached to the to this post is just a slice of my day with the robo calls. They never stop. I am on the Do Not Call Registry. I have put my phone on permanent do not disturb so that only my friends can get through but that’s not a good answer because I missed calls from individuals that I don’t know but I need to talk to like repair people and doctors who blocked their numbers. This needs to be fixed but I don’t think it will be fixed until there’s an uproar and we get some action from the White House.
Trump supporters were promised all the best people. I say Trump supporters because I never believed he would have all the best people. Look at his campaign and how badly it was run.
I am a man of my convictions and when CNN hired Corey Lewandowski, a known abuser of women, I pulled the plug on CNN. I have not watched CNN since he was hired. Now comes the case of Jason Miller. Another one of these people that they pull out of the dregs to be a supporter of trump. It’s amazing the people they have to find that are willing to talk about the Tangerine nightmare in a favorable light. I think CNN should look at MSNBC and how they have not tried to find people that are going to speak well of the Tangerine nightmare because anyone who does seems to lack credibility or just moral fortitude.
All the best people, another one of the lies, the 5,000 lies, that we have been told by this president in his time in office.
When you pick someone whose values and beliefs are completely out of the mainstream of American Life what did you expect? Brett Kavanaugh does not represent America, it represents that small section of America which is entrenched in the 1950s. I guess they also believe that men and women who are married should sleep in separate beds. Whatever the case maybe he is not and does not represent America he represents that small cross section that supports Trump. And those people are hypocrites, because they claim to be people that believe in family values, yet they support a nominee for the Supreme Court and a President Who both have shown they don’t believe in those values.
This reminds me of the scene in a movie when the accused murderer has been sentenced and he or she starts crying knowing that their fate has been sealed. Sure, he can use the power of the presidency to unclassified documents for his Russian overlords. He can claim that he has no Attorney General. He can put up obstacles throughout the investigation. You can have a clown of an attorney talkin on television nonsense including saying things like the truth isn’t the truth. He can appoint to the Supreme Court a man completely unfit, who believes in an imperial presidency. All this is not going to and the fact that at the end of the day he is going to be in deep trouble. And it’s a trouble of his own making. Perhaps he never thought he was going to be president. Perhaps he believed the polls. Sure now he goes on and on about his miraculous and legendary victory. But in fact he stole the election. He cheated. Do we need to say anything more than to quote him when he said in a speech during the campaign, Russia if you’re listening Please Release Hillary Clinton’s emails.
I can’t wait till this nightmare, of the tangerine color is out of our Lives. The sooner the better. And don’t think that Mike Pence is in better shape, in fact he was in charge of the transition and therefore had to know everything that was going on. perhaps the American people finally figure out that the Republicans don’t have their best interest on their mind and its current configuration. It’s time to vote them out of office and truly get back to the normal order of business. I just hope that this man does not take the country down with him.
We are meant to have a government by the people, for the people and yet this President seems to think that it’s a government for his Base by his base. Let all others be damned. Brett Kavanaugh and his views go contrary to the vast majority of the American people. By the Numbers 72% believe that women should have the right to decide how to deal with their bodies. 75% of Americans believe that we need stricter gun control laws. And these numbers are the same if you talk about campaign reform, civil rights, and so many other issues that will come before The Supreme Court. So why did the Tangerine nightmare in the White House pick Brett Kavanaugh? Brett Kavanaugh believes in an imperial presidency. That word hasn’t cropped up since the Nixon era and here we are coming back. Okay. Let us not forget this is a lifetime appointment of a man who’s in his 50s which means we will be saddled with him for a generation. So when you think about whether or not you’re going to vote in November think about how important your vote is. Just to give you a little bit of perspective Hillary Clinton lost Michigan by only two votes per Precinct, just too.
