Ten Arguments for Deleting Your Social Media Accounts Right Now by Jaron Lanier – The Guardian

I have been telling anyone who will listen to me how my life has become happier since I deleted my Facebook account on November 11th of 2017. It started a whole series of events including opening up my social life I am back to the weight that I should be at and wearing the same as I did when I was 32 at 64 is pretty good. But beyond that the hatred that was everywhere on Facebook is no longer in my life. When I don’t like something on television I change the channel. I don’t like Facebook anymore so I deleted my account. Sure, family and friends are annoyed at me and think that I’m being obstinate. But if I’m anything I’m a man of my principles and my principles tell me that I need to get out of Facebook and so should you.

Their new campaign telling us that they’re changing so that Facebook becomes what it was meant to be is only there to stop the Hemorrhage of users that are deleting their accounts. Their stock price has tanked and is not recovering. I’m hoping that Facebook is the next Myspace or even better Friendster, and it will disappear into the Dust heap of terrible ideas.

Trump’s Lawyers, in Confidential Memo, Argue to Head Off a Historic Subpoena – The New York Times

For a failing newspaper the New York Times sure has it’s shit together while probing deep into this dark and brooding White House. Let’s face it these are not confidential memos but rather Public Relation documents put out so that when they try to say the president is above the law they can point to these false documents and say look here it is.

Representative Adam Schiff of California said it best, this President, no president is above the law. And Donald Trump above them all it’s certainly not above the law. He and his corrupt family have infested the White House like roaches or termites. There will be a cleansing and just like Jimmy Carter came after Nixon an unlikely president will be our next leader. Who would have thought that the Great and Mighty Nixon would be replaced by a peanut farmer from Plains Georgia. Basically an unknown quantity on the political scene and yet he became president.

I watched Bernie Sanders last night on Bill Maher. I was not and have not been a Bernie Sanders supporter. I was all in for Hillary Clinton from the beginning hell I was all in for Hillary Clinton in 2008 until she withdrew her candidacy. And as much as I think that nominating someone of my own faith, a Jew, is a mistake I guess the same thing could have been said about nominating Barack Obama, an African American. Bernie makes sense for these times and if we’re going to Unite the Democrats we need to do it with someone who doesn’t seem bought in any way shape or form and Bernie Sanders is that. I never thought I would say this.

Just one more thing, just in case you think he’s got a great legal team, they cited the wrong federal statute for obstruction of justice in this so-called confidential memo.
