When Putin was first appointed president by Boris Yeltsin he actually thought about becoming a member of NATO. But then he decided to go the dictator route and the first thing he did was to close down Russian television. Up to that point it had been as free as Russian television had ever been. Now it’s only a tool of the government and Putin’s alter ego. Now we have 45 who is on a Relentless attack on the Press. I have said this many times before but the Press is in our constitution for a reason. Our forefathers called it the fourth estate or the fourth branch of government. It’s the overseer making sure that the government doesn’t overstepped its bounds and commits dereliction of Duty. 45 wants no part of the press because he has his own agenda.
