Arkansas panel rejects removing Lee from King holiday

Sorry for my crude graphic, but it goes along with the crude and ignorant action by the Arkansas State House by allowing a holiday commemorating a great man who died for human rights to coincide with one commemorating someone who fought to keep slavery and tried to make our country fall apart.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — A bid to end Arkansas’ practice of commemorating Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee and civil rights icon Martin Luther King Jr. on the same day was rejected by lawmakers Wednesday after opponents said the move would belittle Southern heritage.
